It's not in hindsight. Sparks had a 'Head of Recruitment' plan and then buckled and gave Adams what he wanted, within 3 months.

If the recruitment department was not up to scratch then Sparks should have worked with the Head of Recruitment to put the appropriate scouting in place, employed by the club and independent of the Manager.

Now we have 3 scouts who will p155 off when Adams leaves.

    Season Ticket Price
    Harrogate
    • Adult Standing £269
    • Adult Seated £294
    • Concession Standing £189
    • Concession Seated £214
    • U18 Standing £50
    • U18 Seated £75
    City
    • Adult (24-64): £198 (DD: £16.50pcm)
    • Senior (65+): £174 (DD: £14.50pcm)
    • Young Person (17-23): £174 (DD: £14.50pcm)
    • Youth (12-16): £126 (DD: £10.50pcm)
    • Junior (11-): £30 (DD: £2.50pcm)
We don’t have reduced ‘standing’ prices.

    Capacity: 4,108 (Seated 600) https://footballgroundguide.com/leagues/england/league-two/harrogate-town-wetherby-road.html
Apparently 150 seats are allocated to away fans.

If they have sold just over 600 season tickets https://yourharrogate.co.uk/news/harrogate-town-see-record-high-season-ticket-sales/
Apparently their average attendance is 2.237 https://www.worldfootball.net/attendance/eng-league-two-2021-2022/1/
    City’s average is 15.173.

However you stack it up, with caps on the size of squads, meaning we can’t have that many more professional footballers than them, then there will be a substantial disparity in the revenue raised by ticket sales.

Harrogate own their own ground so zero rent, We have to find half a million a year before even paying a player, Plus added reported yearly payment of £300k to the ER Sportsgroup

The rent is sustainable at current season ticket levels but we are in grave danger of losing up to 5000 sales for next season. That’s when the rent will be a bigger problem.

Those 3 fecking off with Adams will hardly be a massive loss, did sweet fa in jan apart form link us with a striker we had no chance of signing. Waste of money so far

Plus they don’t have to pay rent for training at a school which is about 100k plus a year.

If you say the average City season Ticket price works out at £190. Then divide £500,000 and that is the equivalent to 2,631 paying supporters. The £300,000 divided on the same equation works out at 1,579 supporters. So perhaps 4,210 supporters Season Ticket money goes to the Stadium Rent/Rupp’s management fund. City sold 12,715. So there is quite a positive income stream, which should put us in a favourable position to recruit players, as the salary cap was abolished.

£300,000 a year to Rupp , as a consultant ,if true . Is an insult to all city fans.
What exactly does he consult on that costs almost £6000 per week.
Thats 4 good player at this level or the money to get rid of one of the poorest managers this club has had in years and my god we have had some rubbish.
I was all for giving him time , but this last weeks offering , on the pitch and in his interviews have changed my mind.
I actually dont care he is a dour scot , its his i am always correct and some sort of management messiah that has done it for me.
I dont mind losing games, we have no right to win, but i would like to be entertained now and again.

I’m sure there’s a reason for it but why can’t we train at VP

Probably the same reason no other professional football club trains at their stadium.

Ryan Sparks vigorously denied that Rupp is taking anything out of the club

I seem to remember he also vigorously denied Vaughan would leave for nothing and that if he did leave, we would not let him go to one of our rivals.

I would take what Ryan says on football matters with a pinch of salt.
He may be good on the commercial side, but his football decision's are dreadfull.
I also don't think many business owners run their company's and do not take anything from it one way or another.

Of course. It would cut up very badly, especially in winter.
