Name one person who is willing to provide sufficient funds to buy the club from Rupp. Therein lies the problem. No matter how much people carp from their arm chairs, nothing will change overnight unless that investor is found.

Could you have named Rupp before he bought the club? Or any other football club owner? It’s not like scouting a player rich business people are around but how can a fan find them? Someone has already bid for the club who we’d never heard of, the bid might of been crap who knows but football clubs get taken over every season.

 

There isn't a database dedicated to potential football club owners.

You can't Google 'Millionaires who might be interested in buying a club if the price/opportunity is right'.

But that means absolutely nothing.

Nobody in England had heard of Rupp, he was never a likely candidate to buy a football team, you and I had no idea he even existed, Kevin.

Let's be honest, here, how many football club owners did you know before they became football club owners?

Here's an equivalence for you: if Ryan Sparks is sacked as CEO, who would replace him?

Just because neither of us could name the candidates that would apply beyond anyone that's had the job before (ie, Mason), that does NOT mean nobody would apply.

 

As @Kevin1954 alludes to, until somebody puts their name in the hat and it becomes known they’re interested, we have to assume that it’s as you were. Rupp is the owner and we carry on. I think most want him out but as a collective we can only boycott games, thus driving the final nail into the coffin of hope for promotion in the near future.

I ain’t for chopping and changing every season but this is now becoming unbearable.............. do we let the season out and let him bring more players in the summer ????? Now considering what he’s already brought in can you seriously trust him ?????
He stays and builds in the summer then we seriously have to hit the ground running next season because if we don’t I can see it being more toxic and we then go into a new manager who had to sort out the possible mess Adams will have left us in

He ain’t what we need we need someone that can connect with the fans this man is about to turn thousands away now and that can only mean more bother ................. ok keeping him because they can’t afford to sack him but can they also afford to lose 2/3 thousand season ticket holders ????? I mean this goes on the REAL gates will be around the 6/7 thousand mark that 5k who are already finding better things to do already ...............

Same old crap that we’ve heard all season. Didn’t deserve to lose blah blah blah.
This was after leaving the pitch hiding behind the ref.
I didn’t think the fans were vocal enough in telling Adams and Sparks what they thought. I don’t know if it’s empathy or the fan base can’t be arsed anymore. Protests can and do work, we’ve seen it up and down the country and the fan base can really squeeze owners into decisions and choices. Something needs to happen now. I’m guessing season ticket sales will be down but as a collective we are a pretty big fan base and any form of protest would gain the required attention from the media and those running the club.

 

CeO isn’t an owner role, so not a comparison. Sparks , in this case,doesn’t need cash, an owner DOES.

No, and not relevant. An owner / Investor is willing to put money into a club. Not sure knowing Rupp in advance, a multi millionaire by the way, has nothing to do with this debate really.

Cook wasn’t able to complete 90 mins again yesterday. He’s looked a stone overweight, even more noticeable after Christmas.

Do we not have a fitness coach or is he just lazy?

 

Cook is a big lad and he probably struggles to shift the weight and after a few niggling injuries he is looking very unfit to me. He could do with a couple of weeks rest but the problem is we don’t have any strikers with any kind of goal scoring record to replace him with.
