Very little has changed over the years both you and I have watch Bradford City a sprinkling of ups but a very large dose of downs.
Take away the stadium that can accomadate 24,000 and that we have a great fan base because of our cheap season tickets there's not a lot of difference between us and the likes of Grimsby, Notts County, Doncaster, and many more who have spent the majority of their time in the football league having more poor seasons than good seasons.
IMO without a change at the top I fear that's how we will continue.

 

If results improve yes, which they must. The guy has an average 42-43% win proportion overall over a long career and about half that here. Even with the utter hindrance that City seems to be that can't and won't continue. Blind faith - no. That's what his record says. He doesn't overnight become a 20% win manager does he?

I'm basing it on his record and not some false and subjective criteria such as his fit with the club, or some short term judgement of 'progress', or his interviews, attitude or lack of cap doffing in front of fans.

 

If Dreary Derek is given 18 months we will seriously have no fans, there is no way I can continue to watch his rubbish and listen to his delusional interviews for another 12 months. I have never disliked a manager as much in my 30+ years of watching city. I thought Grayson was an arrogant prat but this guy is another level.

Adams joined a financially stable club with a good budget for his division with a brief of winning promotion.

taking his win % from other clubs means diddly squat as it’s a different club, with a different group, under different circumstances.

The only meaningful assessment of a manager’s performance that can be made is weighing up their achievements versus the expectation each season.

Roy Hodgson had a moderate win percentage at Palace but did a grand job.

Given Morecambe were expected to be locked in a relegation dogfight and Adams got them promoted, he was an enormous success at Morecambe.

but the aim this season here was clearly to achieve promotion given the top five budget he was set.

I appreciate it can’t always click straight away and progress might be slow, but he actually started well here, we impressed in pre season with our prep and we played good football in August and early Sept, achieving good results. I was delighted as our xG had improved massively from the end of last season, so those early season wins were absolutely fully deserved.

the problem is that the stats, like the results, have dropped off and don’t look good. No shots on target vs Orient until the 75th minute. We were absolutely dreadful at Walsall but fluked a win with a late pen. Salford’s sending off changed that game too in our supposed mini revival. Crawley was an awful game to lose, although there we did waste good quality chances (Cook).

we’re not dominating teams like we did early season and once you lose the fans, as he has, there’s no going back. He’s a cold individual, which is fine if you are winning matches (that excuses everything), but we’re not. Half the XI will be leaving in the summer and we’re in for another big rebuild.

His signings so far, bar Walker, have all been poor. There’s nothing to give us hope he and his team can initiate an effective rebuild.

Apart from Foulds, who earned a start through luck more than design (Ridehalgh’s knock) Adams has not improved a single player in six months at the club - and several, like Watt and Canavan have/had regressed.

In order for Adams to keep his job we need evidence of positive things he’s done for City, not Plymouth or Morecambe. What has he done?

At a push, he’s made us generally harder to beat and we don’t lose many. But we have drawn a ridiculous amount of matches by not killing teams off and conceding soft goals. That’s due to his cautious approach.

His January recruitment just doesn’t seem to have improved us.

he’s very lucky as he knows Sparks won’t to sack him as it makes himself look a tit, and he knows Rupp will be reluctant to pay him off as he doesn’t really give a damn as long as the club funds itself.

So that’s why you get bizarre statements like Adams’ today, calling out ‘immaturity’ and saying the club would be daft to chop and change managers again. Can you imagine any boss making that statement under Lawn/Rhodes??

If we had anyone at the club who understood football, the c**t would be sacked tomorrow morning. He does what he wants and intimidates Ryan and Rupp by constantly referencing his achievements at Morecambe and Plymouth, like its a given they’ll be repeated here. Show us something other than decline and defeats and bore draws then Derek……

Unfortunately Kev it could become a great loss, how many paying punters would you say does equate to a great loss? The more people who decide to find something else to do with their Saturdays the more our ‘sustainable’ budget shrinks. Every paying customer the club loses is a failure on their part, unless it’s due to them relocating or something like that. There are a number of people on here who I believe watch City by using one of those Amazon Fire sticks, they don’t pay the players wages the season ticket money does.

I hope the club don’t have such a casual attitude about losing customers, unless Rupp has changed tac overnight and is writing the club a blank cheque.

I was a stick , but results speak for themselves. He has to go, no matter how much it cost, however, I repeat, the squad needs to be dismantled. It will cost but it has to happen.

I refuse to slag people off, however the result’s aren’t there to justify further support for the fella and the squad.

 

Just 500 adults lost, equates to 100k of lost turnover plus upsell.
