The fact that Morais, an ex player, was shocked about the post match comments, shows to me that the players are going to be feeling the same. He doesn't give this team any backing at all, and constantly throws them under the bus. I don't care about what he's done before, and to be honest, if my team was performing badly like we are, I'd shut up about it. It's embarrassing.

 

Sparks wouldn't have got the job anywhere else.

 

Why would it be any different? League 2 clubs attract League 2 managers, unless there is a big pot of money.
Parky went to Wrexham because he has an open cheque book.
Likewise, Challinor left Hartlepool for Stockport for the same reason.

Steven Gerrard/Sean Dyche/Patrick Viera etc. aren't going to want the Sunderland job because they are better than League 1.

I can't say I'm really an Adams fan but that post match interview today is probably the most forthright and honest interview he has given in a long time and some of the teeth gnashing and outrage on here is comical.

What I will say though is that he's been "the boy who cried wolf" too many times recently when it comes to his post match interviews and his interpretations of mediocre performances so it's no surprise that people are so ready to call BS even when it's not there for once.

 

Lawn tells a different story. It was the board asking Jacko why he hadn't spent the budget and querying why the squad was so poor. Then he resigned.

 

Nothing personal against Sparks. But this club needs massive change and he ain't the guy to do it. Would love to see a new owner come in and bring his own backroom staff in. I can but hope.

Threlkeld again was awful and was to blame for the first goal giving the ball away with an awful miss placed pass to a Harrogate player. Will Adams call him out and drop him like he did with FCD who played much better than Threlkeld yet was thrown under the bus?

No matter who we play RB most of the opposition goals come from that side, I wonder if opposition managers have sussed that out .
Unfortunately it was Threlkeld that deflected the ball for Harrogate's first goal, not sure how Diamond can be credited with it.

That is rubbish, I was there and he was skinned a few times and was to blame for the first goal with a silly Crossfield pass that went straight to a Harrogate player and they went on to score
