Well now we have the makings of a faction who dictates who can be a supporter and who can't.

The club needed me when i have given money over the years when they needed saving during bad times, your probably not old enough to remember the Save Bradford City fund when they gave out a Certificate of Appreciation for those who helped save the club from extinction in the early 1980's when the receivers were called in.
So don't tell me that the club does not need supporters like me, if it wasn't for supporters like me and thousands of others you would not have a club to support, so just have a think before you post.

I'm not disputing who's right or wrong Park, what i am saying is that it wrong to accuse @Bronco of trying to incite hatred towards the owners, all he did was post what he heard, nothing wrong with that is there.

 

Honestly.. Do people actually care really? I mean seriously what does it matter one way or another.

group who have sponsored Guiseley previously with this fixture asked to sponsor again.

Initially they wanted one name as sponsors, then Naughty Boys Table and then our Commercial Manager was asked to change it to the James Mason Appreciation Society.

He rang me and said why they want that I don’t know, he is an old fashioned film star!

I said maybe the one you know is but I know James Mason and he has recently left Bradford City and I think this is someone being mischievous here, I don’t think it is a good idea.

I have known James since he was a teenager and he was my work experience boy at one time on the local newspaper.

We decided we didn’t want someone’s idea of a joke to spoil our relationship with City so it will not be going down as The James Mason Appreciation Society.

James has been made aware of this.

It was our decision to reject this, not City’s.

How do the supporters know wo was sponsoring a Guiseley game anyway, we have not made it public.

The point is, ANYONE could have typed that out. It's not even a picture of the original email and certainly doesn't read as an official document.

Whereas, Bronco's post was backed up by Roger Owen which imo gives it at least some credibility.

In my view there are two issues that are being debated, and attempts to conflate the two conflicting issues, is confusing.

1. Was the information given to @Bronco and others correct, or the alternative position given by @Jam and others. Well who the hell knows. Rahic certainly has form for trying to control information that he perceives as damaging to both himself and the club. However, it is also feasible that some ppl maybe trying to destabilise Rahic and Rupp position in the club for a variety of reason, ranging from disgruntled employees to general unhappiness at the way the club is being run.

2. The second issue and actually more alarming is that it would appear that unknown ppl maybe using this forum to communicate or transmit their own agenda. I am concerned because whichever side of the debate you land on, it is actually splitting fans, as ppl are becoming more aggressive and hostile in order to get their point across. There has always ppl who actually pick up bits and pieces and transmit them on here, but it is usually posters who we all know. Now it would appear that this has transcended to actually asking posters to cut and paste their own words on here. Anyone can sign up to this board and within reason post what they want, why ask someone else to do it? I personally would be extremely concerned if someone asked me to post their words.



My own view on reading all of this, is one of sadness tbh. I have every respect for James Mason and I do not think he would have wanted this kind of debate. I would be amazed if he was involved in any kind of skulduggery. Yes I am fairly convinced that Rahic has control issues, I would have hoped that trying to stop something from happening that the majority of fans probably wouldn’t have batted an eyelid, it just gives the whole nobody can work with Edin debate much more oxygen than it required; if indeed he was involved.

 

Odd !! ........... I didn't get a 'certificate'. Not that I wanted or expected one. I donated £100, so do I assume those who far exceeded that got recognition ? Actually, it matters not, as it has been and gone.

 

Jason Width of a post has just asked on Twitter about this thread, apparently he hasn't heard anything.

Unless something gets printed or can be factually proved it's just going to be another rumour nail in Edin's rumour coffin.
