January window 2022 - rating

I’m going to wait and see if we get a prem striker,right back and box to box midfielder on final day before voting.

We had a prem striker last year (kind of) in Samuels.
Walker looks to have something thought suspect he’ll go somewhere better when his loan and contract is up and the new keeper seems an upgrade but don’t think we’ll keep him.
Still need a striker and right back and centre mid and centre back could do with an upgrade too-so not great

 

So far very meh, we haven’t weakened and have strengthened slightly, certainly in numbers terms anyway. But not enough to challenge for promotion imo, I wrote the season off a while ago, which is criminal for Bradford City in league 2 to even have fans thinking that a season’s a write off. It’s a failure of a season, but success is built in a summer not January window imo.

The last window where we probably thought was a success was 2018 and we got relegated. To many windows not up to scratch under Rupps watch.

It’s definitely the go-to choice when discussing the majority of recent City transfer dealings.

 

Bass seems ok and I can’t comment on Elliot as he only got 15 minutes at the weekend. Walker looks a good player although only seems to be able to last 65-70 mins. Daly is a steady player and definitely adds something to the team. The lad from Luton is baffling.

We are still too weak in the centre of the park. We desperately need a hard hitting midfielder and a right back.

How come the actual transfer thread is closed? Has it been confirmed our business is done?

 

Mehhhhh two that stand out are the likes of bass and walker who you can see are well above league two standard.
I am no manager but Daly is a round hole for a square peg, good player but being played out of position currently.
Pereira apart from a prolonged period at Atlanta United he hasn't had any football for a prolonged period and we can talk about potential but at some point this has to be shown either here or find himself slipping down the league's.
Elliott I am sure he can do a job but while supposed rivals are signing players from further up the league's we sign there cast offs who also don't have any period of prolonged goal scoring exploits.

 

Gone off track and the thought police don't like that. Radio Leeds have said Adams refused to confirm our dealings are done. Whatever that means. I don't expect anything worthwhile or season changing today.

 

Our back 4 is atrocious. To have not strengthened it is abysmal on Adams part. To continually try and defend 1-0 leads with it, is laughable.

 

It's crap..

But it's sustainable.

Summer has been proven to be crap. This window isn't much better.

 

Damn. Was hoping to have it confirmed we're done to avoid the lingering faint hope throughout the rest of the day only to be followed by abject disappointment at 11pm.

 

I'm still not convinced by Daly. He started well on Saturday then completely disappeared after 20 mins. In his defence however, there was one point early in the game where he made a great far post run but the move petered out leaving him stamping his feet. Over the years I think this has been a feature when we have taken players from higher leagues. They are used to playing with players who think and play faster. so when they come here they end up frustrated.

 

Cracking transfer window do far , some top signings hoping for another !

Heading into Jan wanted a new striker, GK, RB and have got one and a half I’d say - Elliott as a battering ram is a welcome addition but still feel we need more goals up top. Adams might argue those goals may now come from midfield.

we are absolutely desperate for a RB. If it isnt addressed in the next ten hours I will not be happy.
