Yes, quite so Aaron. As you will know David left to join Burnley, for all the right career reasons. He was held in the same regard across the board as James, sponsors, fans and the like. As I recall there were a number of 'goodbye and thank you' events recording the high regard in which Dave was held. James is not unique.
As far as Julian and Mark were concerned, no but that is par for the course in business, I give you a parallel. When Morrisons bought Safeway their Directors left the same day, that's what happens at Board level. They no doubt had their own internal functions. When I retired from Morrisons my fellow Directors held several internal functions for me and there were others external but I was not selling the business, big difference as with James. Julian and Mark may have had their own celebration, who knows.
For the record the Ambassadors have sponsored a game at Guiseley for the last four years, last year being the BCFC game, so this year is nothing new. This game would have been their first chance to see James and thank him as a group. James became aware of the sponsorship name and was both flattered and amused. Guiseley apparently had no problem until they were contacted by BCFC with the "fan unrest" issue. Sad in my view.

Im all for the transparency and honesty that @wetherbywhaler is seeming to provide to fans but is there not a conflict of interest here. Im sorry roger, but as an "ambassador" for the club is it right to be getting involved in this? saying i have information that the owners/club have done this, that and the other doesnt shed the club in a good light, and im not sure that given you are privy to this confidential information, that it should be shared in this way.
I appreciate you were brought into this not of your own accord and are probably defending a friend here but in what way does this fit in with an "ambassador" role?

I suppose you could say we cant have it both ways, like when have asked for updates before on club related things you have been good enough to provide this and kudos for that, i just think in your currently role your answer should have been a bit more diplomatic

If we had a similar result again this season something exactly the same would be said.

Whether you like it or not we are an irrelevance to 99% of the footballing world, who wouldn't have the first idea about anything about the club at the time we beat Chelsea and won't now.

More potentially worrying is what Roger put regarding the sponsors committing only till the end of the current season.
