@Jam obviously has close involvement with Guiseley FC. He has clearly stated above that the decision to pull the sponsorship was made by Guiseley alone and was not the result of any intervention by Edin.

It seems that you are the one who has 'fallen for it'- immediately believing a piece of anonymous tittle tattle designed to discredit Edin because of your obsessive distrust of the owners.

 

And how exactly do you plan to remove him?

Even if you had the money they don't want to sell, so whether, in your opinion he has to go now, the fact is, he's going nowhere.

 

Says the man who stated we wouldn't get promoted from League Two in the C1 Cup year and who has predicted relegation most seasons since we've been in L1.
I'm still on the fence about the owners' plans and actions. But, given your uniquely abysmal prediction record, if you think that Edin is going to ruin the club that's pretty powerful evidence that he's probably doing something right.

 

To a certain degree I agree, because the situation is so toxic.

I'd take @Fordy117 a lot more seriously if he hadn't been negative about pretty much every person involved with the club since about 2006

No BoingBoing I have not fed Bronco anything. As you perhaps know I have been in Spain for the last month, back now but I'll over the weekend. I have read this thread and will give my take later today but I will say now I am not familiar with Jam who seems to speak for Guiseley and be a regular at VP.
I find the comments made by Jam strange as I have an email and a voicemail sent to me both of which make it clear that BCFC have objected to the sponsors on the grounds it will cause 'fans unrest'. This would seem to have some validity given it was the same reason used to try to ban SM working for Sky on the Shrews game.

It might be worth thinking about your actions in future.

 

Would you agree that unrest is exactly what the "ambassadors" were trying to achieve by proposing a name which they knew would cause a reaction?

I have a lot of respect for anybody who comes out and directly speaks about the issues at the club but....come on....trying to have a little pop by using table/group names? Isn't that something that kids do to piss teachers off? I presume we're talking about grown adults here.

No I would not agree. The Ambassadors as a group and more so individually do a lot of work behind the scenes and have the Club totally at heart. I can speak for myself when I say I have done more projects for the current owners in the last 2 years than during my previous time as a Director, I won't bore you but as today I am dealing with 3 matters. I believe this was a genuine attempt to recognise a Guiseley lad who has held BCFC together for much of the last 2 years, that is all it was. Read my response to BoingBoing for the reaction from BCFC.
James knew nothing of it until the news broke, he was simply to be invited to attend, as I am told.
Some have said why such a fuss over James, see my comment above, that's why and the Ambassadors are not the only ones. As I hear there are a number of sponsors who are planning or have already arranged a 'Thanks and goodbye' function for him which is a true mark of how he has been regarded by our partners who see the glue, as I refer to him, now melting to the extent that a good percentage of sponsors have only committed to seeing out the last year of their deals and no more.
As to a name causing a reaction, as you put it, I would say what's in a name.

 

Did we do the same for Dave Baldwin, Julian Rhodes or Mark Lawn. I don't recall but surely they must have happened unless the ambassadors valued James above them or there was some other reason?
