conditions that Scunthorpe didn’t really struggle with you know 23rd in the league Scunthorpe and course fitness as a big part but this ain’t just suddenly started happening it’s been going on for most of the season .............. have we actually put in a full 90 minutes of a game ????? Stevenage maybe Mansfield ???? Face it they just don’t have the heart no leaders nothing this lot go a goal down and most of the time they don’t wanna know and this as gone on for years now

 

Sadly I agree with Derek. Society HAS changed people and in all walks of life people simply will not run through brick walls anymore.
Too many people have gotten used to doing the bare minimum at work and heaven forbid there’s any ‘banter’ in the workplace they run off to HR like a snowflake and then have 6 weeks off with stress.

 

He doesn't run because he is the hero of the woke / me too/ cant do that/ (fill in the blank) Lives Matter culture and to criticise him is to criticise everyone under 25. Twenty years from now he will have a statue erected to him and a probably a knighthood, but it wont be for his footballing ability.

May be I'm too 'old school' but if DA doesn't ask for it..the SHIRT certainly does in my book.

 

I'm sure part of that is what sees fc Halifax top of the national league. In that competitive league, it's gonna take a lot of bloody effort to get them there

 

They did struggle second half though, it ended 1-1 and was a totally different game second half probably one of our better second half performances which isn’t saying much. As I said performances have tailed off all season, do they suddenly stop trying or maybe there’s other reasons involved? I also never claimed we have players with heart or that we have leaders, just that other than Carlisle away I don’t know when people have stated the team weren’t trying? There are other factors than just players can’t be bothered. I was as angry as anyone Saturday and said they didn’t look up for playing myself, but that’s not been the case all season.

Also do you have a reason for putting so many question marks at once to people? It comes across as aggressive and nobody else seems to do it except you, although I do remember Cougars doing it a fair bit interesting…

And back to DA.

 

I think there's an issue with levels of fitness despite being assured that would be addressed. We fade and fail to press later on in the game. Plus we are playing a style that certainly doesn't focus on possession and so that is bound to be more energy demanding without the ball.

It may work but sitting so deep requires strong defenders who know what they are doing and are well organised. We don't have that...

Mansfield (A) we went 2-1 down and won 3-2.
Barrow (H) we went 1-0 down and drew 1-1.
Port Vale (A) we went 1-0 down and drew 1-1.
Northampton (H) we went 1-0 down and drew 1-1.
Scunthorpe (A) we went 1-0 down and drew 1-1.
Sutton (H) we were behind twice, and equalised twice, to draw 2-2.

So it's probably happened more than you think.

How many of them games were the other team under the cosh for 90 minutes ?????
Just imagine if for the majority of the above games we put in 70 minutes or so ???
I am sure we would have gained a lot more points because the majority of teams you mentioned looked poor and any half decent team would have won all them games ........ and let’s not forget our win in that lot was against Mansfield a team that had a poor start to the season, I doubt the same would happen now .
I mean Sutton United stand 4th jeeeeez even with 10 men we should have beat them just shows how really poor this league is I ain’t seen one team that we should be scared of, we actually put in a full shift with a half decent performance then we would be top 3 even with this current squad ............... the reason we ain’t because we don’t want it enough we ain’t go the will to win at all costs

 

Oh there's definitely no one to be scared of.

Most teams are a very similar level, and if you catch a team on good form, like Carlisle, they'll beat you, if you catch them off form like Mansfield, you SHOULD beat them.

The fact we're drawing every other game (and it feels like more) illustrates exactly that point. We don't have a terrible defence, but we're weak up front. It's a perfect recipe for draws in a pretty mediocre division.

 

Hopefully the two lads coming in will start adding to our goal tally
