For me Adams does need more time, same old argument, but this is a tough gig with the purse strings as they are here and the fans (our) expectations after two decades of decline. Still saddled with crap in the squad albeit Turnbull has signed new crap.

if it’s like this in 12 months time then a diff matter

Cant agree what do you think he is going to different in the remaining part of the season that's going to turn us into anything remotely like a team pushing for promotion as you say purse strings are tight he can't motivate the players he already has if he could surely he would have already done so

Straight talking from Lou Macari on the Manchester United team. Ring any bells?

“Anyone kicking off in the dressing room, kick them out, get rid of them and I’m talking about the players doing that by the way.
“You’ve got the money, you’ve got the lifestyle, what more do you want? I’m getting annoyed. I should be watching 11 happy players enjoying the game, but I’m not detecting that. I don’t see 11 happy players and they are second to most balls. Where’s the aggression gone?”

He's made a rod for his own back has Sparks.

If he said - this will be a bit of a transition year but we're investing in the team and going to give it a go then we'd have all got behind that and there perhaps wouldn't have been so many people getting grumpy

Instead he said "we're going for promotion" and its not working out well so far. Anyway he'll have to face up at the forum this week because he's made his own bed and now has to lie in it.

First of all he has got to get this transfer window right and then show improvement. Starting again every six months is no way to carry on. This season is not yet a write of as bad as it looks

To be honest, the club doesn't deserve the level of support it gets. I get the impression they think they can spin us all a line about how ambitious they are and how much work is going on behind the scenes. And the vast majority of supporters will accept that at face value.

Imagine if what we're witnessing was happening at the club the other side of Pudsey? I don't think their support would accept half of what we've had to suffer over the last few years without a concerted effort to enforce change. If anything, I think all the garbage we've had to suffer has made us too soft through a fear of not having a club to support. But the way things are going, we'll still go out, but with a whimper rather than a bang.

The only defence I can think of for Adams is that he has inherited a load of dross. We all knew that but he felt he had to find out for himself. He now knows who he doesn't want and who he does and will try to make the changes he wants to make in this window. To be fair to him he can't get rid of players if no one wants them and that wil limit what he does. None of us knows the extent to which the summer signings were his but at least he is now in a position to take an overall view of the squad as it is. This scenario has been repeated ad nauseum in recent times and, reluctantly, I think we have to give him a fair crack of the whip. He doesn't help himself with bizarre post-match interviews but that's his style. I'll judge him from what he does from now on, bearing in mind that he's stuck with certain players if no one will take them. After all, he has only been here half a season, he's said he knows what's wrong, and intends to address it. Bad as things are, let's see how it goes in the next few months.

Does he have funds to get the transfer window right
Don't We have to sell first
Good luck with that one after our last few performances
He boasts he gets poor teams with little budget promoted but is failing
Let's give him a couple more seasons to do it Good idea

Unless there is mass incoming of players then write it off :( we are relying on injury prone strikers ....... we are relying on players with poor mental attitude who cannot put two halves of football together and sadly ain’t up for the battle .......... sorry but I just cannot see this lot doing anything we will end up where we are a pee poor midtable side

    Adams has inherited dross but I’m worried by two general observations from our fans;

    1) Adams has not improved any of the players he inherited
    2) He’s not got the most out of his signings. Threlkeld has been terrible. Songoo barely played in CM which we thought he was signed for

Ridehalgh has been solid. Angol done well but been mostly injured.

Eisa injured. Kelleher, Lavery, Robinson all downgrades. Is Gillead better than Vernam or Crankshaw? Not for me.

Do we have faith he’ll get it right in January?

Totally agree but unless another willing buyer let’s it be known that they want the club, we’ve nothing to get behind to force change. We can protest until the cows come home, but if there’s no suitable buyer then what?

If a consortium headed by say a Baldwin, Mason or Gibb came to the supporters and were vocal about what they wanted to do with the club to turn things around, I’d be the first in the queue behind @Fordy117@Fordy117. Unfortunately we’ve no idea other than bitcoin man, if anyone is in the least bit (no pun intended) interested. We need something to get behind, someone to put their head above the parapet who can see what’s needed and has the money and knowledge to get us there.

Very few teams have money at this level it’s finding the right players and the right balance particularly in midfield he has done it in the past let’s see if he can do it again. If we continue to struggle with no sign of progress well we wil have to pull the trigger once again much good it will do us.

I fully agree if there was someone out there with money not to “invest” it’s speculate I would be 100% behind it. But experience of 60 years says whoever follows will follow a similar path. We just have to hope they can do it better because we don’t have a patient fan base.

A lot of my family are from Manchester and are United fans, including my sister. I think the only common denominator I can draw between Bradford City and Man United is the lack of continuity and development in the backroom/coaching/football administration staff.

Whilst the likes of Man City and Liverpool have put together a style of play that's used throughout the club, from the academy up to the first team. And set about identifying and/or developing players who will fit into their system. Man Utd and Bradford City have had a root and branch upheaval with every new manager, there's zero continuity. With the Glazers, they're more concerned with how many shirts a player will sell and not if he'll fit into the team. With Ronaldo being an obvious recent example. With City, at one point we were all about developing our own players, with that development squad. Then they switch to assembling a team of seasoned players on free transfers. And now we're with dour Derek and youth players don't get a look in, shopping in the tramp's buffet hoping that a turd can be transformed into a world beater with some intense physical exercise.

If Rupp was serious about returning the club to the same level as when he bought it. He could've employed somebody to formulate a plan and oversee the footballing side of the business. I'd have got right behind him if he'd said: 'I'm putting in place a system to recruit and develop a team. It may take a season or two, but I'm hoping it'll provide dividends in the longer run'. (And to be fair that was what Rahic said he'd do, but once he'd been found out, he wasn't replaced).

But we're left with the Twitter CEO and the fact that Adams got Morecambe promoted on a next to nothing budget. That's City's one and only strategy 'work miracles with feck all and string the supporters along that next season will be THE season'. Rinse and repeat.

He may have inherited some rubbish, but of yesterday’s 18 man squad, only Cooke, Watt, POC, ROD, Vernam, FCD and Sutton were here and didn’t have a new contract in the summer. Adams doesn’t get off that lightly. Two thirds are his players.
