When you are getting continual abuse from th stands what do people expect players are going to do when they have something to crow about

 

I'd be very surprised if some of our away support was not giving the ex-City players stick when they could, its always been part of the game, giving the opposition some verbal's but then don't bleat if the verbal's get given back.

 

Broncs I think its because we made both of them look like Pele....... Even their fans said Gibson is crap and not performed all season. How can we make crap shine......only against us

Mr Adams never was the right appointment for us and never will be his 3 year contract is a noose around our neck
This is the same team that played so well at the start of the season so to an extent they are capable of better
For some reason and I believe it's all down to the management they are not performing

 

I agree with you. I never wanted Adams here in the first place and would gladly see him out the door tonight if I thought it would make a difference.

 

I think back to last season under Stuart who totally lost the plot with the players and was quite rightly
"Relieved of his duties" then came T&S who very nearly got us to the play offs with the same bunch of players
Am clinging to the hope of history repeating itself with another manager However 2 and a half years severance pay for Mr Adams is a pretty big stumbling block

 

I watched the game and I thought both Guy & Gibson were two of their better players, throwing Patrick on after 75 minutes was a no brianer, we know if nothing else he possesses pace and made a mug of Kelleher, he should never have won that hoof but not only did he win it Kelleher for some reason thought he could catch him.
I get were you guys who travelled are coming from but second half there was only going to be one winner and unfortunately for the traveling 1200 that was only ever going to be Carlisle.
Just caught the two goals again on SSN and Patrick looks to have filled out, looking at the tackle again with Kelleher Patrick certainly out muscled him.

We played well at the start of the season because we had the team together from early on in pre season and had a plan of how to play. We effectively got a jump on everyone else while they organised themselves.

Since then, scouts have watched us and worked out how Adams plays. We've had some injuries which meant key players were missing and finally, I feel Adams has underestimated how opposition teams set out when they come to play at our place. He seemingly hadn't understood that opposition will defend deep and resolutely so while his "keep it safe, get ahead, stay ahead" tactics worked at other clubs they won't here.

You could also add the resentment factor. Ex-players (and managers in the case of the next match) want to do well against us to "show us", they want to beat us to keep us in league two "where we deserve to be because of how we treated them", what is therefore required is a real fighting mentality to out compete the other team and either these players don't have it or Adams is unable to instill it in them.

Either way, so far, he hasn't shown himself to be the right fit for us. He hasn't understood the club and has no interest in responding to or listening to the fans.

If by some miracle Rupp threw a million into a Jan transfer pot, would you trust Adams to spend it on "quality" ?

 

Well I’d rather give him a million than him have to deal with scraps like Lavary and Robinson, but it won’t happen as we are ‘sustainable’. A few seasons ago didn’t West Ham fans try rush the owners at a game against Burnley? So I’m sure you know how much of an importance owners have.

 

Not sure.

His best signing so far has probably been Ridehalgh. Some will say Angol but I don't feel he's played enough to show whether he's been a good signing or not. He's done well so far but I'd be more confident of assessing after a few more games.

 

Certainly have had "issues" with Gold & Sullivan, and TBH every owner I can remember. The one thing I will say for them is they haven't stinted on playing budgets or transfers (albeit a lot was wasted).

Why does your fanbase hate Patrick and Gibson etc… ? Both been excellent for ourselves and had nothing but exemplary attitudes.

As another poorly ran club I really feel for yourselves as generally you have an excellent away following and are too big for L2.

Don’t understand what your coaching staff where playing at - we’ve litterally used the same blue print to beat you the last 3 games - put a player on Watt and take him back to goal and nullify your midfield - do you do any scouting or watch previous matches ?

normally would slate a fan base off for singing your not fit to wear the shirt - but that was deserved today, we’ve been appalling in front of goal this season and it stopped an offside which wasn’t to prevent 3-0.

IMO you’ve got more than enough to be mid table, but rightfully with the pedigree of manager you have and the size of your club you should be dominating L2.

All the best for the season apart from the last day - when hopefully either of us have gone on a mad run to make the playoffs

 

Not sure everyone dislikes Patrick, some will say he didn't get much of a chance, some will say he got a lucky contract on the back of one goal.

Gibson was similar in that some will say he didn't get much of a chance but others will say he messed around, wasn't as serious as he needed to be yet was super vocal on social media (as was his dad) and annoyed everyone with off field antics and allegedly not training hard enough.
