    ‘Never be enough’

Don’t you think we’ve had it rubbish for years? Our fans aren’t glory supporters that’s for sure. Long suffering imho and deserve a bloody medal.

You're confusing some of the admittedly frustrating tactics of the past (actually caused by so many players recovering from injury and so Adams is reluctant to play them) with the current real time impact of Covid.

As you've refused to acknowledge that our win was remarkable given how Covid ravage the team for two weeks, I'd say it's you who lacks "focus"

You basically want to moan about the same old moans and so then conveniently forget that today's performance is rightly forgivable - given what the club has gone through with Covid.

Moreover, it shows how the club and players are 100% behind Adams. A real back to the walls performance, given that half the team were at a disadvantage compared to Barrow. I say half, because of we only had six players earlier this week - then it's unlikely that another eight have miraculously reached peak fitness in that time.

But please, don't shout the messenger - here's an article from earlier this year, when the effects of Covid on elite athletes was been realised. It's even more striking now.

    https://www.irishnews.com/sport/athletics/2021/02/06/news/long-term-effects-of-covid-on-athletes-beginning-to-emerge-2211812/

The win today was a frigging miracle. I couldn't give a flying f**k about the performance. Well done to Adams for getting 4 points out of the last 2 games, when frankly given the circumstances zilch looked far more likely. Clearly, there is nothing wrong with team spirit and Adams has their full respect.

Onwards and upwards for those of who don't believe moaning about the manager / performance every week is entertaining.

Meanwhile, we've you can keep reminding us at how terrible the tactics are, just like those proved wrong about Parky couldn't resist trolling back to his initial moderate spell, as the results improve.

The standard of Barrow’s ground was far from professional. Without doubt the worst shithole I’ve ever had the misfortune to visit.

Didnt catch the game as working but saw the result.

Nice to see a positive result, after a few weeks with no games. Hear the performance wasn't great but I'll accept that.

On to Carlisle, looking forward to another trip up there, a few beers and 3 points.

    Rupp out.

Who'd had thought 3 days after not been able to put out a team, the players wouldn't have quite recovered enough and so delivered an average performance.

I'd get down to the training ground and give em a ticking off. Tell them we're they're going wrong as clearly that 100% promotion success story Adams, knows nowt!!

It's hard to defend the players when once again we were close to throwing points away by being sloppy and inviting pressure against a team who lack quality themselves. Having said that a lot of the players where struggling and were dead on their feet as the second half wore on. Callum Cooke was really struggling big time 2nd half, Sutton came on but lacked his usual energy, Angol looked like he was worrying about his hamstring. These could all be down to Covid going through the squad, 17 players had it apparently.
Having said all that I hope we are busy in the transfer window, this squad needs freshening up, not least with better back-up for Andy Cook and Lee Angol.

You've hit the nail on the head. We have a miserable bunch of fans who simply have no patience and so know tolerance for reasons as to why a performance might be moderate.

And then when some of us, point out the sheer madness of those ignoring what is (literally!!) right in front of them, i.e. the latest Covid wave, we're apparently letting the team off the hook.

If this has been a normal build up to a game, I wouldn't even have posted tonight - except to say lucky win, need to improve, let's move on.

At least you've had the verve to realise that if 17 players did have Covid, then the players would start struggling - particularly as the game went on

You’ve never been to some of the old RL grounds then like Hull KR, Central Park or Cougar Park then?

Ah, now it makes sense. I thought it had been disallowed due to a soft free kick on the keeper. Clear handball though.

Carlisle have won 3 of their last 4 league games, keeping 3 clean sheets...

Absolutely must be going there and getting a win, but just saying...

Would Adams consider dropping Songo when Canavan returns and playing Sutton, or do we need someone infront of our centre backs for extra cover.

He's also been very invisible during the terrible run. Just nipping out today to celebrate the win and when the form drops again he'll go absent again.

    He's like rcbantam in reverse!
