We do. A keeper, right back, centre back and striker are a minimum.

 

3 much needed points but that was far from an enjoyable watch.

 

Cracking win and start to the new year with most of the squad only having had a few days training. Let’s hope this is a start of a comeback

We might lack quality, but lets give them credit today for seeing out the game and coming away with 3 points, and for Angol and Cook for taking their chances.

I can only imagine the players were shattered and suffering from the effects of Covid, hence the back to the walls last 30 minutes or so.

If we can get recruitment right this month, I know its a big IF, we could still mount a challenge, as this is an awful league devoid of much quality

 

Just to put into perspective how bad this league is, we’re 6 points off the playoffs with a game in hand and haven’t won since October.

Would be interesting to see our record when Angol and Cook have started together.
What a shame we haven’t invested in just 2 or 3 extra quality players and this league would be there for the taking.

 

Once again we get overrun in midfield in the second half after being comfortable in the first. Very hard to understand why.

 

Understand the sentiment but that second half was a really difficult watch. We dropped so deep I thought we'd end up in Morecambe eventually. Just watched wave after wave of attack.

Only real positive for me is Ridehalgh. Very little gets down the left side past him.

Under the circumstances it was a great win with players having little training coming back from a draining illness it was a big ask I fully anticipated a defeat today. Of course there is a lot to do but a good start to the year. Now Mr Adams do the business

We have strengthened badly before and it didn't work.

 

win , lose or draw, one common factor is some city fans will moan.
We have just had 3 weeks without a game because of covid in the squad.
Who knows how badly the player's have been affected.
Yes , we are not brilliant and reinforcement is needed, but that was a big win today and showed a lot of character from the players. How many times in the past have we played well and come away with nothing.

We hopefully have a good window and just push on because you just look at the top of the league and just see how poor it is ........... FGR got away with a point at VP and Sutton looked poor even up against 10 players ......... think that’s the thing that’s more frustrating that we can all see how weak this league is but we ain’t got a team to do anything about it
