To be fair on paper everyone was happy with the takeover I remember Northampton away, years ago when Rahic/Rupp and family walked around on the pitch to sit in their seats. They received a hero's welcome. We nearly did it ...got promotion at Wembley then silly egos got involved i know footy etc etc etc. I would love to know compensation for Grayson/Tangerine Bowyer Stuart,T&S etc......... And we did make Doyle and Vaughan crap with our tactics...

What is poor is that stack em high/Cheap analogy of tickets does not work for us and has not worked and you need experienced players and people in situ to move forward as a success. Mason was not that good and Sparks is not anything.... and no longer talking to us so its not really working is it. I will sit tight until January and see if we are backed but i am very concerned.

 

Cheap tickets worked under Lawn and Rhodes and encouraged a lot of new supporters, who have mainly stuck with us too

 

They did but I wonder have they served their purpose now. If we can have a half decent season or get promoted I think they should go. We should find a way to reward the fans who have bought them over the last 5 years or so

 

The cheap tickets would have died a death if Parkinson hadn't come in - we went from selling 14k the first time we did it to 9k in the summer before Parkinson arrived.

Success saved the cheap tickets, and we're repeating that 2007-2011 period again at the moment so I imagine history will repeat on the sales front unless something changes.

 

The maths still works for cheap season tickets, it's the expectations it engenders that causes the issue.

 

Well, we raised the prices by 25% this summer and still the recruitment was shocking.

See no reason whatsoever to increase them again next summer.

The rot started when Richmond left Rhodes & Gibb in charge. Rhodes upset Gibb, club lost the ground and the rest is history. Rhodes & Lawn got their investments back by selling to a **** & his conned mate since then it’s been lies & false hope. Club is screwed unless our invisible owner invests to match his promise to repair the damage or cuts his losses and sells up to someone who knows what they are doing.

15,000 season ticket holders, 1,800 away at Scunthorpe during a storm and after 2 wins in 18 games…the fans & sponsors have backed the club, it’s time the owner did the same.

 

Too right. Julian Rhodes is at the very heart of this clubs demise.

 

It has to go hand in hand. If we are successful then we can raise them no doubt and people will come. Plus reward the loyal fans in soem way as I say because we have plenty of those who continue to go and pay.

 

I will call it now. Season ticket prices will go up again next season. Costs on the increase in terms of minimum wage, utility bills, insurance etc and those whom continue to watch City will make up for the shortfall in income, for those we lose.

A season likely to start in League 2 despite the promises, yet another rebuild to pay for and increasing costs. Ticket prices will need to rise but selling them on the back of this season’s football and promotion talk will be a hard job.

 

I don't blame JL or MR. They agree in good faith, I believe. And I don't think any element of what R&R have done would have shown up in Due Diligence. The money was there, a credible plan was there, they talked a good game etc.
