Good quick business getting this over the line great age for a keeper, seems to be well thought of from what I’ve read, some people will always moan no matter what Edin does he’s made seven or eight signings now which is good my main concern is a striker or two. I hope Charlie stays as long as he wants to wear the shirt. If not I’d get rid and get hunting for two more strikers. I kind of hope we keep mcarten I saw glimpses of potential in him an Jones will be like a new signing given his lay off time. For me poleon can go lad can’t hit a barn door. I would imagine he might be on descent money which could be freed up to bring in better

 

Obviously I must have seen him play. His record is not bad, I am really glad we have experience at the back.

 

I'd wish his money would go down as well.....

 

Pleased with this signing. Has been a decent, solid experienced keeper at this level. Glad we have gone for experienced British keeper for this key position

 

Local Yorkshire lad so wont have to uproot but looking at his recent career has not played a full season,
So if he is that good?

Did well at walsall and stints at bristol c/rovrum and wigan so is the experienced keeper to replace Doyle.

This is a good signing. Was very impressive for Walsall which got him his move to Wigan. I seem to remember there being a thread on C&B at the time with most of us saying we should be in for a player like him. The perfect replacement for big Colin and well done to all involved in getting the deal done.

A decent signing for sure, but I'm not so convinced he's improvement on Doyle? Or is it just that he is cheaper? Does anyone have any clues as to his character? We certainly lost an important one in the changing room with Doyle...

 

I think he is at the least equal to Doyle. But as with the others we will judge on what we see

 

don't think he's a bad signing in the scheme of things. But at the moment I'm slightly North of underwhelmed.

 

Sounds decent, looking at his career though he's a 30 game a season man - not a criticism, but it does put the onus on having a solid number two.

He had 2 good seasons at Walsall before his move to Wigan and if I remember correctly was in the league 1 team of the season. He will bring some strength to the back line so I think a very good signing for us.
