Honestly, this currently has the feel of the end of SM's tenures with us. Where we can't buy a win and finish matches with players all over the place, who don't really know what is expected of them.

This squad just isn't good enough to meet the expectations that were built pre-season.

 

No question about that @Faithful Bantam. Just pointing out an observation about ROD being beat from outside the box again.

Canavan has been so underwhelming for me all season, I expected much better from him, would rather have Staunton in there

 

I think he’s right.

ROD - Bang average. But keeps place as other areas are priorities
Ridehalgh - rock solid. Upgrade on Wood. POY so far
FCD - still raw. But Threlkeld not impressed either.
Canavan - wins everything in air. We missed him badly. POY contender.
Paudie - blows hot and cold. Never far away from a booking. Good on his day.
Songoo - often exposed for lack of pace but has improved defence since dropped back nevertheless
Watt - form dipped massively from last year
Sutton - the energy in midfield and drags us forward. Deserves to start
Vernam - pace hurts teams but not reliable in terms of goal output
Angol - a crock who wont stay fit
Lavery - journeymen. Wouldnt get more than 10 a year even if fit.

of that XI tonight I think only Ridehalgh, Canavan, Sutton, Vernam are players im really happy with. Songoo, watt, paudie are fine when on form but lack consistency. Angol fine when fit but can’t stay fit

Well that was pretty awful. I like Watt but by christ he is struggling he needs to be dropped he hasn't had a really good game for an age. Gillead is offering nothing and FCD infuriated me today the mistake was horrendous but his reaction was worse he completely lost his head and shrunk.
