With more competition he can be used more sparingly

Not a chance, his legs have gone. At best, back up for centre back but we cannot carry passengers in this squad.

If it was a matter of fact you'd already know the answer, so I'm sure why you would be expecting a factual reply. I agree with your last paragraph and mentioned the same above.

Look up the definition of "experienced" using any number of sources, and there is almost always reference to ability and time. A fairly average footballer (imo) who has played little football (imo) would mean that he isn't experienced using the official definitions. I do accept that it's subjective as some might rate him, or think that he's played a lot of football and so on, but I don't hence why I don't think he comes under the experienced bracket.

I've often wanted to post this on many a thread.
'Experience' is OK - But did the player have a good, or poor one ?? ;)
NKP was classed as 'Rolls Royce' yet latterly performed like a 1970's Morris Marina !!

Yet we should learn from and adapt to our 'experiences' - a failure to do so would suggest inexperience, surely ?

You asked what he was experienced in. I gave an answer.

But the anti Rahic brigade will have us believe we are a squad of kids on peanuts...

    Quite.

Kids today are quick to write a player off even after a few games. Imagine if we had written Marshall off.

Brilliant. And to add on to that, I don't think he's experienced in any of those and they are worthless anyway.

You do realise that was the squad from LAST season. Many of which have now been released?

Jeez, imagine having parkbantam as your wingman in a debate.

What's our average squad age now?

    It's not 29.

Think it’s about 12. We have to get a note from mums and dads to play night fixtures. Past bed times etc

So it couldn't possibly be the case that Dieng has daft advisers who've told him he's worth more?

I mean, under the previous regime, we never made an offer to a player who thought they could do better elewhere? And was proven sadly wrong? i.e. Andy Williams who three years ago went to Doncaster instead of us - and ended up in L2. Were you as critical of that regime and that decision - after all Williams was more proven at L1 level

It must be a new narrative. Apparently if a player now rejects a contract, it's 100% the club's fault

Or it's just another reason to have a pop at the regime

We've a big problem is we're relying on Dieng as the mainstay of our midfield. I would trust a fit Reeves any day over him and think, in Reeves, we've got one of the best midfield players. We need another one of his quality - it's great a salary has been made available

Last time I looked we're about 5-6 weeks away from kick-off. During the vintage 2012/13 season, all our best signings were from the 21st June right up to the end of July. Plenty of time for us to get more players

And you'll make sure that using your 'judgment' that statement is true. Wright is a step up from Dieng - but I'm sure you'll argue otherwise

In the new regime and someone admitted this, no credit will be given to anything the current board do

Telling players that we're not going to bend over forwards and give them what we want, sounds very good to me. It generally means you get grounded players, who are usually mentally more capable, signing for you
