FGR such an aggressive team with jelly legs when in possession. Shocking ref who doesn’t understand football. To be honest thought we would get whooped today, but feels like two points dropped. But if you milk the ref it’s always going to go in your favour.
Glad I am a City fan couldn’t watch that FGR sh1te every week.

 

Gutted to see Lavery go off injured so early, his effort got us the corner that Cook scored from.
Yet again another soft tissue injury- surely it cannot just be down to the trainers and players, it is not a virus!
No doubt the lads will all be in for more training tomorrow.

The "ref" was in a league of his own but he helped get the crowd behind City and against his alarming decisions

that ref is arguably one of the worst ive seen. Diabolical.

 

Easier to moan about the officials and approach of the opposition than our own deficiencies i suppose.

 

Not helped by the linesmen who can’t wait to wave their flags but the one in front of us missed the most blatant touch off their player for a throw to us.
It was right in front of him and he just didn’t see it.

 

Can't help but think that with the addition of a clinical striker, that team might be closer to troubling the top of the league. Although, I suppose clinical, match winning strikers aren't that easy to come by in League 2. If they're proven and decent, they'll probably be playing at a higher level. Which is why I still think Adams not taking a punt on a youngster or 2 on loan from a higher league is an oversight. That ref was definitely substandard and they might have held on for 3 points if he'd blown for a foul in the build up to their equalizer.

 

To be fair to Kiwomya he said the same after the game.
Whether Gillead was fouled or not there was a lot of distance for the ball to travel before their player rolled the ball in from about 8 yards out.

 

Today wasn't enjoyable at all from a footballing aspect.
Now if I'd wanted to watch a masterclass in cheating it ticked all the boxes.
Likewise if I'd wanted to view match officialdom at it's worst it ticked all the boxes.
What did I learn from today?
Eat Meat and bin Vegetables and that you can't avoid the pungent smell of Halloweed around the stadium.

Competed for the whole game and didn't look leggy at all.
We should have gone in 3-0 up in all honesty.

FGR have some very talented players and look a real threat when they stay on their feet.

The ref was trying too hard to impress his assessor that he isn't swayed by big crowds but by doing that had a real shocker. How that lad who chopped down Sutton didn't get a straight red is anyone's guess. Will need to see it again.

I will take 4 points from two teams above us in auto promotion spots.

A couple of decent signings in January and we will be there or thereabouts-certainly top 7.

I was also considering that myself but it would be hard to get motivated to watch the games if we rolled around on the floor like that all the time. They look to have a talented team so why the shenanigans? Don't understand it myself as their free kicks were average at best.

Ref poor. Liked his whistle far too much and missed three fouls in the lead to their goal. Sutton through on goal. Last man brings him down. Yellow? Garbage.
Lino didn’t pick up their right back. Every throw his feet were on the pitch.
City looked solid. Suit playing team who take the game to us. only got ourselves to blame though. Cook HAS to score just before half time. 2 up and we win that. Awful miss.
