But it's not me saying Gillihead has been rubbish all season. It makes it very easy to debunk that nonsense - as you only have to bother to remember that first half where Vernam, Sutton, Cooke and Gilliead all were key to the dominance.

We now have a narrative that anything good he does is forgotten - but everything Vernam does wrong (virually all the Hartlepool game) is also forgotten.

Thank goodness we have Adams as the manager as opposed to the way too overtly emotional bunch on these boards, who see one player in a set way - despite evidence to the contrary.

Oh! By the way, I do agree that Vernam has been better than Gilliead this season. But it's not as wide as the Gilly knockers think it is.

And yet we've had a manager insistent on not playing two strikers until today. If we win today we deserve the points unlike the games against Bristol and Hartlepool where we deserved just one.

I agree that he is good at carrying the ball forward and getting us up the pitch. But far too often he then does nothing with it - either runs into trouble and loses the ball, plays a misspass and loses possession or hits a pea roller shot. His end product is generally terrible.
Yes, he flicked on for Lavery's goal today but he needs to create and score more goals.
