Based on what I have seen so far this season, the naive 21 year Gilliead was much better than the now experienced one we see now

 

But that's just not true. It's a typical fans perspective who think that if an attacking midfielder is scoring or assisting at a 1 in 3 rate, then they are rubbish.

He works tirelessly and often drags other players away, allowing the likes of Vernam more space.

Yes, he's been inconsistent - but this "he's crap" narrative, has me rolling my eyes because we've had this with Doyle and numerous others in the last 5 years.

The glee with which some Bantams write a player off and then have a mindset where they will never be convince otherwise, has been one of the most toxic things about life since May 20th 2017.

 

When i watched Swindon defeat FGR a couple of weeks ago, the ex-Carlilse lad McKirdy stood out, seems to have really kicked on this season.
Apparently versatile and only 5 foot 9 so wouldn't impress our Derek too much.

I love those who are so opinionated they think they know better than the manager. Get down to the training ground next week and point out where Mr Adams is going wrong.

I'm sure if you were in charge we'd be top having won every game - as we probably would if only we'd had you instead of those other idiots for the past 5 seasons.

Well, if you're comparing consistency then you may have a point.

Whereas Vernam may have been inconsistent, Gilliead has been consistently poor. So, yes, Gilliead has been more consistent, probably.

Gilliead being his usual ineffective self. Great break after long period of Swindon pressure. Lavery in a great position. Gilliead overhits a regulation pass and a good goalscoring opportunity disappears. No change there then.
