Lots of misplaced passes. Seemed a theme of the day and maybe the conditions played part of that. What we do often seem to lack is the ability to choose the right or easiest pass. There were 2-3 occasions today when we got in their box and a lay off to Cooke was the better option, but we didn’t take it - too Cooke’s frustration.

 

Top tier of the main stand look fuller than normal, wouldn't have been surprised if it was close to the crowd given out. Excellent crowd for league 2

 

Agree its all about turning our recent poor form around, lets hope this is the start.

 

As you say there were far more in the main stand today, the hospitality to our left was full which is a good sign £££, and behind us as you say looked fuller.

 

Sutton MOM and seems to be a great balance in midfield with Watt, Bit surprised it has taken so long for the penny to drop with Adams,
Thought the pace and work rate of the team was good and Songo played well and his positioning was really good,
The only weak spot was the full back Threlkeld who struggled at times leading to a few chances been fed in from that side

Agree on Threlkeld felt most of their creation came down that side. Thought both CBs played well in spite of how many chances we conceded.

 

Im not sure how their number 12 was a professional footballer to be honest.

That’s the way it works on here Kev, makes me laugh. We create 20 chances in a game and lose we are poor, another team does it and we are lucky to win. Can’t have it both ways.

 

Thought Cook was poor today Mart. Their number 9 looked a more composed player.

 

Watt imho was bloody awful Dave. Some of the attempted Hollywood passes intercepted by Dale put us under severe pressure at times. I counted at least 5. It’s not how and why, it’s the position he was doing it from…….in our own backyard! He needs to do the simple stuff and stick to it.

That's a fair retort. We have to be realistic and realise, we won't turn the tables overnight. But Adams has history... Many of our playing squad do not.

To bring this set of players together that can potentially challenge for promotion (with a very expectant fan base and maybe Sparks) we need a strong, determined, focused manager. In Adams, he has the attributes as proven in his CV.

It won't always be prity watching division 4 football but then what is the comparable? All the TV football from the higher echolons? We need sometimes to fully understand where we are and understand our capabilities.

 

I think everybody was decent today but 6 and 22 get the vote.
