As I said yesterday, a smart bit of business for essentially a bench warmer if we were honest. Timing was unfortunate, aka injuries, but business is business.

There is nothing in Canavan's history to suggest he has been anything but a model professional. All this talk of rebellion and refusing to play is just crap.

 

Surely love for the club outweighs being a model professional?

As he has said many times he used to come and watch City and was sometimes a ball boy while he was a youth team player. The kind of bond he clearly has with the club counts for more than just going along with whoever the current manager is if he thinks it is not in the clubs interests.

I am #TeamCanavan on this.

 

Someone originally raised it on here as a rumour they'd heard that he wasn't injured. It was never suggested he was refusing to play.

 

I would suggest if there is any glimmer of truth in the rumours it is more likely that Adams has "rested" him for some reason, rather than Canavan downing tools. My assumption is based on no facts whatsoever
