We drew 1-1 against a team with 10 men at home for more than 45 mins.

You can say we were the better side all you want but for me we were poor with the ball.

Catch 22 in games like that. We had all the ball and pressure, and we were creating chances. We could have taken off a centre half earlier and gone 1v1 at the back, but that creates risk both in terms of your result and in terms of the continual pressure you have. As soon as they took their striker off, we went to a single centee half. Can't blame Adams at all today in my opinion - although I wouldn't have taken Vernam off. We created 5 nailed on chances - one of those has to be taken

 

I thought Walsall were well drilled second half and kept their shape and frustrated us like we would do if we were in the same position.
Thought the ref had a good game overall but should have booked their keeper for blatant time wasting.
At times we played some really good football in the first half and I have no doubt we would have won that game 11v11.
Not despondent at all as we are creating quality chances. On another day Vernam scores that header and we go on to score 4 or 5.

Because as has been clearly explained, we continue to miss easy chances that are built up by decent passing moves. A decent striker gets 2 or 3 today.

I disagree FB. Vernam was our most effective player. Why did he take him off?

Why not bring on someone to play wide left in place of Vernam when he took him off? It basically meant we were relying on Crankshaw for creation or something central (we created nothing centrally all game) or a less effective Ridehalgh once Vernam went off.

Those were Adams decisions.
