I'm lost....you seem to be trying to disagree but what you wrote seems to support my point!

Example - player at a club on x amount, agrees to join on lower amount because they're not getting game time/chances in the hope that they'll do well during the season and then can negotiate a much better contract. That would explain why its only a short term contract

 

Well DA didnt particularly 'sell' whoever the new player is.

Sounds like he is about 6th choice due to not been able seal other deals, and he said he is no Lee Angol, and the way he said it, he meant quality wise.

I think whoever it is will be a bench warmer at best

 

You know, which is pretty sh1t when you think about it. I thought we wanted to win this league this season? We need to be backed with funds to ensure it happens. If the best we can do, is a benchwarmer from a team in the same division (below us), then I don't think that really underlines our ambition.

 

I agree with earlier comments that a contract until the end of the season suggests it'll be a bit of a "punt", rather than an inspired signing.

This season has lost its impetus in a matter of days.

 

With Angol out for maybe 3 months,let’s hope no injuries to cook then.
