I liked Doyle but I honestly don’t know what the problem is here. He was offered a contract in May which he didn’t like his agent has had thirty days to tell him the club won’t budge on their offer.No agreement so the club move on. This happens all the time what’s the fuss

 

Trust is a massive thing you don't lose it for nothing and once it's gone it's very difficult to get back
Nobody knows how next season is going to pan out but you are correct lose the first few games with uninspiring performances and the already bad feelings could turn even worse. This is a pivotal few months for us both on and off the field maybe if previous promises had been met the fans would be more acceptable of the plan I see this coming season as a relationship exercise and for the owners to concentrate on stabilizing the first team. Results on the pitch will go a long long way to rebuilding the fans trust and confidence. I somehow doubt that will happen and things could worsen but until the season starts and we see how the results and performances go we can only make educated guesses

Can’t believe this has become a big thing just because Mrs Doyle has kicked off on twitter.

Been a good servant. Not a world beater and can be replaced. It’s his own fault if we offered a deal on same terms and he waits and waits without signing. The club have every right to say thanks but no thanks.

I cannot imagine the uproar if the club let Doyle have another 2-3 weeks to negotiate and think about it, he got another offer from elsewhere and turned us down and we were left scrabbling about for a keeper.

But no. The club have learnt to hold the cards and give themselves plenty of time to find a keeper. I think it’s a lesson they have learnt from previous seasons.


Good on them I say. Mrs Doyle, do yourself a favour and concentrate on your business and leave twitter alone for a few weeks. Embarrassing

I was very critical of him early on but he improved as the season went on and looked much more solid . He changed my mind with his performances in the latter part of the season.

 

100% correct. Imagine the Edin out brigades reaction if we were scrambling around for a keeper during pre season!!!

There is developing players and then there is giving them a baptism of fire, Park.

Not sure which of those it's going to be yet and that may sway parent clubs in their decision making.

 

Am i the only one who thinks doyles departure will be a positive one .we can do better much better.

 

If he didn't sign a deal in 7 weeks then cya later doyle. Sure collins must have had his say for it to happen days after he signed

 

I think because of his international status his agent thought he could get a great more deal for him and you dont mess with mr edin when it comes to money.
Be interesting to see where he ends up.
