I'm not so sure about all that. I would suggest his Agent is the clumsy one ! Being the middle man one would hope he was aware of all the facts, but seemingly failed to inform his client of where negotiations are ?

 

Not sure about that one, the club could have been going through the motions, because they weren’t fussed if he stayed or not. They could have been giving the agent the bum’s rush. But hey we don’t really know. However, these things have a habit of coming out.

It kind of reminds me of the Luke Hendrie situation - Again, an agent was involved !!

Agents are merely sales people - most of whom forget what true customer service is all about ...........

Your client base is your bread and butter - fail to serve your customers, then go hungry !

 

I don’t like football agents, parasitical by nature. However, I think Edin has a similar view, nevertheless like social media they are not going away. You have to be intelligent and find a way of dealing with them, blocking them is a crude and an ineffectual way of dealing with them.

 

Worked for the Peterborough chairman yesterday if his tweet is anything to go by. Blocked the phone signal once Dembele was in the building so his agent couldn't receive any calls or texts.

 

If that is true - Then McAnthony was playing 'hardball' - which may come back and bite his arse in the future.
As @Onside says - Agents are now part of the game, which means things can be played both ways.
