This will be tougher than many expect. Could be another nailbiter.

 

Gillead gave some pace and welly on Saturday and was really quite "unforgiving* in his tackles at times, some real crunchers. Appreciated by all of us sat near the touchline. Not sure how he dodged a yellow though given the ref. Right up Adam's street, doubt he will be dropped anytime soon.

Amazing what a difference 2 weeks make. Most on here thought Sutton wasn't good enough. Now we need him back.

Anyway, I’m glad to see he seems to have got to a better place in his life, hope he has stinker tomorrow but I wish him well in the rest of his career.

Yes, he did well at Notts County last season helping them get into the National League play-offs. Earned a move to Stevenage and is certainly on his way back up. If all is well with him, he certainly has the potential to play even higher, though I think League One would likely be where his limitations lay.

Hopefully with the homecoming over and nerves out the way, the players will relax more and take more of the chances we create. Ideally we score first, Stevenage have to push on becoming more open and we hit them again on the counter.

These are the games we need to grind out victories if we are to be serious contenders for promotion.

I think we will see a more solid midfield unit tonight with either Sutton or Songo'o back, that said, I was impressed with Evans first half on Saturday.

I wonder whether any players might be rested after the hectic start, Angol perhaps?. He has just played his first 3 competitive games in 8 days after not previously played since January

Can’t see him resting anybody tonight this is a tough game Revell has done a great job there. Many Fordy clones will be there tonight thinking it’s only little Stevenage we only need to turn up to win

 

It will be rather nervy I suspect and don’t expect anything other than a tight game unless we get one in the first 20 or so. Realistically we need to be on top of our game for sure.

 

Two wins. Two clean sheets (and a cup win on pens v Luton). They’ll be up for it. Interesting to see how many will be at the game tonight. I think this will be a tough test for us. Seem solid at the back and know where the goal is - even during the late stages of the game. Our back four will need to stay focused.

 

Absolutely no givens in this Khazi league, to finish where we want to be we can afford to play below par, but need to make sure when we do it is just below par rather than sloppy. I don't expect Stevenage to be top seven but that doesnt mean they are a a guaranteed win or an easy three points.

A draw isnt the end of the world, but a win means we have a bonafide great start.

 

I don’t know USG, Stevenage are on somewhat of a roll over the last 12 months so they could go higher than 7th. It depends on their complete squad. It reminds me of two teams.
