if you want to play for some tinpot side for the sake of a few hundred quid extra per week instead then fair do’s. Id rather we signed players that back themself to earn an extension on the back of a good year or bump up a lower basic via add ons.

Quite right. Lingers has never been England quality. West Ham is his ceiling. Dont think Rashford is all that either.

29 England caps over five years, he’s hardly Zidane or Scholes, but you don’t get that many by being shit. There are players ahead of him in the pecking order now, but 29 England caps probably puts him in the top 100-150 most capped England players ever. That’s not luck.
