We need to start converting some of the many chances we seem to be creating, that's for sure.

Angol sounds a decent player so far, but as his record suggests, struggles to score goals.

Cook will get us about 18 goals

Struggling to see where the rest of the goals will come from

Was it a penalty? Angol was through about to pull trigger. Did he simply fall over the ball?

Thats the only concern is where are the goals coming from. All the chances created so far and all we have to show for it is a set piece goal from a free kick. Angol has looked a better all round player than Cook but his missing of chances suggests thats why he's stuck in league 2. Cook has been quiet in both games and there isn't much in terms of goals behind him. Still, some good positive signs moving forward.

Both commentators said Angol was extremely dangerous, was very unlucky with a couple of shots , oh and a stonewall pen to boot!

I'd have to see it again but from my angle my first call was it was a good tackle. Others may have a different view.

Didnt you say you would judge after ten games though? You seem to be doing a hell of a lot of judging after just two.

Looked like a pen to me but I was charged up and maybe heart ruling head.

On another note - stop the short fookin corners! That one from Cooke in 95th minute ludicrous.

That was annoying, had them on the rack and then waste the opportunity. Funny cos the fans had already groaned when we looked to try it before.

Very early days, and it may improve with sharpness. But in a similar manner to last season - where before a ball was kicked, we could see where the gaps were and the games soon evidenced it, this season we look 2 quality attacking players short. And that’s what the first 2 games have shown up. Minimum, one quality striker, and I think we need a goal scoring wide man or attacking mid/number 10 too. We’re already looking like we’ll struggle for goals, and if we lose either Cook or Cooke, we’ll be done before it gets going.

For those who went, what was it like to celebrate an actual goal in an actual ground?

And to some others, it’s “Forest” not “Forrest”. I thank you.

17 professional goals in nearly 4 years. Suffice to say, we need to see more of him to determine whether he’s going to bring what we need. He’s always seemed a very hit and miss type of player, and apparently fluffed one of our best chances last night.

Agree there, attacking midfielder & striker needed soon as we lost cooke out of that number 10 yesterday we struggled to get hold of the ball upfront

Whilst not having seen him live yet, Angol reminds me a lot of Hiwula... he's going to do great work and create / get bucket loads of chances but he's also probably going to miss a hell of a lot of those chances too! He will frustrate, and everyone will be dusting off their old Jordy opinions for use on whichever side of the argument they were on last time again this time, but so long as other players are firing he will probably be worth having in the team for what he brings (but be prepared to curse a few missed sitters along the way!)

Ultimately Angol is there to score goals. If he doesn't he isn't doing his job. Same goes with Cook. Especially as its hard to see where the goals will come from. I hope Angol starts to hit the net as his contribution so far in the two games has been good.

He'll probably get a decent amount of goals whilst also missing a decent amount of sitters, that's what I'm saying... it will be a balancing act as to whether what he does do is worth what he doesn't and people will inevitiably be split on that
