A decent, if unspectacular start. Defensivley solid, did the ugly stuff well, good shape and a couple of bright moments with the ball. And both full backs look solid additions. On the downside we still look toothless. Let's hope that improves, but I think we need more attacking quality.

Personally, I thought we were the better side today. Thought we created the better chances (until that last minute howler), defended better and played with more intensity. Biggest concern was how wasteful we were in front of goal, Angol especially. Good performance for the opening day.

 

That’s never stopped him in the past.

 

Huge worry about striking back up. At 70 mins I was looking for the Don to come on,
Has to be be a priority transfer, especially if he’s going to start both our strikers from the off.

 

Seems the striker off the bench is what we’re missing , hopefully accelerate progress on that.
