I tagged you as you were making a bid deal out of pre season.

The league starts on Saturday and that’s when results count.

Not a huge amount of goals at league level so far and I think we've seen why in the friendlies.

Definitely looks a good addition to the squad though and if he can start quickly perhaps a bit of confidence can help him have a stand out season in terms of goals.

When was the last time we had a squad that didn't include a loan signing?

Of course, there is still time for us to bring someone in, but there cannot be many, if any, other clubs in league 2 without at least one?

@Dennis recently suggested that there is more debate around differing viewpoints so I would like to understand your viewpoint.

What has been specifically poor about each of the 9 signings in your opinion. What do you define poor as meaning?

And in contrast who would you have liked City to sign? And why?

And what has pleased you the most about the DA regime so far. His honesty? His forthright nature? His clarity of thought?

 

Excellent well balanced post and great insight into the signings. Makes so much sense.

We did look fragile at the back end of last season when the pressure was on to get into 7th we just did not have the presence on the pitch to manage the situation well. Lot's of inexperienced players now its the other way and with DA setting out a clear path for all to follow we can only hope that this season is the start of a resurgent Bradford City.

I never made a big deal whatsoever. Just said I find the wins and performances pleasing - as any fan should.

It was nice to listen to our managers take on pre season. Completely contradicted everything you have said.

And yes you are odd. You revel in our clubs misery.

He's a mate of my future son-in-law so, obviously, I want him to do well.
But also, I saw him play in the Conference South some years ago and he was so far ahead of everyone else on the pitch that it was obvious to me that he had the talent to be a decent FL player.
He's had injuries and also played in some poor teams since leaving Peterborough. This is probably his last chance saloon at FL level, but it's clear that Adams rates him and seems prepared to give him a chance to fulfill his potential. Let's hope it works out for his sake, and for City's.

 

I think it was our last promotion season, when we started without any and Craig Forsyth came in in October.

That's something I really like about this season's recruitment, seeing as I prefer loans to be emergency short-term replacements rather than major elements in a side. (I know, I know, Cullen, Pickford...)
