I agree I’d have liked him to stay

 

Klaxon at the ready, James Mason set to return as Goalkeeper.

 

Maybe that’s me . Our signings so far this season have been met with a surprisingly good response .

 

Think the obvious answer is that (hopefully) we have someone lined up and will be revealed sooner rather than later. It seems like he's been offered a contract, taken weeks to decide and we've lined up another keeper as he's taken so long. Wife disagree's with that so who knows.

Amazing how players go through ups and downs at a club. He was heavily criticised before his injury and the jury was still out, showed some form when he came back and won most of the fans over (apart from a few bell ends in the lower kop).

 

If the club did offer reduced terms to Doyle then its only fair we bring in another goalie on those reduced terms and dont expect someone on Doyle's level.

 

Wonder if Mason handed over the klaxon before he left or took it as a leaving present.

 

And those lower kop bellends are probably moaning on twitter as we speak!!!

 

I think we just have to change our thinking as fans. These owners really don’t give a stuff about what fans think. They are prepared to be completely ruthless with implementing their plan. If we don’t like it well that is just tough.

 

I think thats out of respect more than anything. Know one knows about most of the signings because they've only played a game or two at first team level at best.

 

And what if said keeper is younger, better pedigree and has potential resale value???

 

It's a very simplistic way of looking at it. In theory the strategy of filling the ranks with young players could work and if thats what you as an owner believes will work then you have to stick to it.

 

That is a very narrow minded way of looking at it. I said younger, not young.

Doyle is 33.

 

Or it could be simpler than that - he was offered a contract, didn't sort it out, we found someone, we turn his contract down and he leaves. Wife's unhappy.

But we should have released something before the Doyle's did.

 

I didn't realise goalkeepers stopped playing at 33. Someone should have told Buffon to hang up his boots as he had no resale value after 33.

 

Do you sit in he lower Kop ?

Banks recommendation = Doyle
German recomendation = Sattelmaier and Raeder.

If the club read the vastly differing views just on here about anything the club does then which views should they listen to?
As for being ruthless i cant believe you think we are the only professional sport club to have a business plan and to follow it.
I have never been directly approached by the club for my view since i began supporting city in 1979.
