Announced as assistant head coach at Blackpool. Glad too see him back in the game. Good luck stuart

    Stuart McCall added:

“To be joining Blackpool is special. My sister was born in Blackpool and my dad played with the likes of Stanley Matthews and Stan Mortensen. He always told some good stories about his time there.

“I’m really excited for the challenge and to become part of the team. The Club and in particular the coaching staff did an outstanding job last season - I obviously know Steve Banks well – and I now want to come in and be a key part of the group as well. I’m here to support Neil in the best way I can.”

Really pleased for him, I do think he is a good manager but not a good manager for league two if that makes any sense.

I know exactly what you mean. I thought he might be best in an age-group role at international level e.g. Scotland u-21s

Best wishes to him, he stays fairly local so makes sense to go from amber to tangerine

Said it before, and will repeat myself. Assistant manager/ assistant head coach is the PERFECT role for Stuart, he can do what he loves which is day to day contact with "the lads" and still be their best mate without having to dish out the bollockings. Good luck to him.

Depends who the owner is. Look into the ownership of the likes of Blackpool and Port Vale.

Strange comment. If the owner makes the club a basket case, as Oyston did in Blackpool's case then it is very much defined by its owner. I seriously doubt anyone would call Blackpool under Oyston a "good club". Toxic, maybe but even their supporters will acknowledge they were a long way from being a good club under him.

If Oyston hadnt been outed when he was, Bloomfield Road would have been a car park by 2025.

Forest Green are pretty much defined by Dale Vince.
Andy Holt and Accy, Fleetwood and Pilley. City were dominated by Rahic. Abrahamovic at Chelsea.

Great news for him, he’ll always be my idol who I worshipped growing up on the field. As above perfect role for him he’s not an out and out manager he’s probably too nice, hope all goes well for him.

Yes but it’s temporary owners go but fans and the club are permanent

Using your analogy they are now under different ownership and are progressing so they are now defined by the present Oyston is in the past
