    Saturday 14th August sees our opening home game against Oldham for the start of the 2021/22 campaign, what will our first official attendance be.
    My guess 13, 500 with a healthy away support.

    Depends how it's marketed. I've seen many a game in super league which are specifically targeted to reach 20,000+ figures and this game has mitigating circumstances such as City's first home game for well over a season and Oldham first away game in the same time. If the game is marketed right both sides of the pennines then we may get close to that figure.

    How do you think it can be marketed, we have 12,000+ season ticket holder as yet we don't know what the club are charging for POTG (or should I say I've not seen any prices), assuming away support have to pay the same as those who POTG where can we generate the difference to get near that 20,000 mark, it would be a great start to any new home campaign for all in attendance, we know how Valley Parade can rock with a large crowd in attendance.

    Listening to Ryan's interview on radio Leeds , it appears that they are targeting this game. He called it the big home coming.
    Sounds like they are planning a big day, maybe some kind of ticket offer as well.
    I could see a 15000+ attendance. Which at our level is some going.

    As Andy C says its a premeditated marketing campaign aimed at that particular game. As I said earlier you target particular games because they have a realistic chance of your target being achieved. In this case we are lucky that Oldham are the away team as they have a good away following, it's less than an hours drive and is their first away game for some considerable time. This kind of campaign obviously wouldn't work the vast majority of teams in the division due to low away numbers. I'm guessing there will be deals for tickets leading up to the game via social media and there will be the feel good factor still around after the euros.
    Aim high, what have you got to lose?

    I can see uptake from Oldham being not far off a sell out for visitors.

    Weve sold 12,200 season tickets. With POTD, away support and novelty factor im saying 18,000.

    I wouldnt be surprised to see the club do a deal for POTD. BOGOF perhaps...or £10 in. An extra incentive to fill the ground.
