Couldn’t care. Not as if it’s an exciting league and we have to play everyone twice.

    To play your game ..

    First game - away
    Boxing Day -Home
Christmas period - not too much travel
    Last Game - Home

Not fussed who we play as I state before.

I understand why you feel like this. But I really like Tuesday night games. Bring 'em on.

My only gripe with Tuesday night games is that away fixtures always seem to be the ones that take longest to get to. Presumably clubs aren't unhappy as they are likely to have lower gates even on a Saturday.
It makes it a nightmare for supporters who work. My son very rarely goes to an away Tuesday night match with me.

I always hope we get a seaside away either first game or last. It rarely works out that way. Instead the EFL appears to like putting trips to the South Coast on a Tuesday in December.

that would fit with their algorithm. They aim to put the longer trips on midweek dates as it is usually financially better for the home team they way

A few years back, we started 2 seasons in a row at Hartlepool. Both were nice sunny days and drinking Vaux bitter on the Marina front was very pleasant.

I hate the 80 mile drive back on a bad winters night. It’s an age thing

Totally agree with you and Wolfy. Last season Tuesday long distance away games were Southend, Crawley, Orient and Newport. I hope I have them all. I'm not up to speed on the EFL and ifollow for this season but there was talk of stopping it in which case clubs will suffer financially, given not many would be making those distance trips mid week.
This coming season the worst case for Tuesday away games would be Colchester, Orient, Sutton, Crawley, Newport, Bristol, Swindon, Exeter and FGR. Assuming we do well we would expect to swell home coffers if those games were Saturday but if Tuesday how many would go?, even London Bantams would find it hard to get to other than Colchester, Orient and Sutton.
We are not alone of course, those in the South had trips to Carlisle, Barrow and us for example. For me if there are Tuesday games, better Scunny, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, at least there is a chance of getting there and the home clubs always welcome the income. Sadly I fear the EFL don't think like that but we shall see if they have taken note of the representations I believe they've had from Members.

I know @Park bantam@Park bantam has his critics on here but nobody can question his commitment. Long may you be able to make the drive ( and be annoyingly positive about all things City).

Isn’t it because it has been worked out previously that the drop in income from short trips is larger than for long trips. So if doing well we would expect to sell out some local trips on a weekend but not as much for a midweek whereas for long journeys not as many would travel which ever day

As we are usually the opposite of Leeds Utd, it would appear that we will be away on 7th August and home on the 14th as Leeds are starting their season at Man Utd on the 14th.

Can Hartlepool & Barrow be classed as a seaside away fixture.
