    Horby has also signed a 2 year deal. Hopefully he is our number one now. Know @Sergio Pinto III@Sergio Pinto III said both our keepers are good but in terms development and skill i do think hornby just edges it.

    either way its better to have two good keepers competing for that number 1 spot.

    Could do with ROD moving on then getting a keeper better than Hornby & ROD.

    Its league 2 mate, all keepers have something weak in their game. These two are about as good as you'll find at this level.

    I agree. Both have strong points. All league two keepers make errors, that's why they're in league two!

    What we need is a stronger attacking threat which means an error costs less because we're already winning and a better organised defence which means the keeper gets exposed less.

    Anyway, pleased Sam is staying. Perhaps he'll kick on, improve and could be our number one for a number of years.

    Just to clarify. RoD isn’t developing, no disrespect to anyone, but he went backwards big time last season.

    Agree, few better than ROD in 1 on 1 situations - hopefully he'll be called upon less often with a better performing team in front of him.

    Fair play to Hornby, he must be ready to fight for the shirt.

    For a goalkeeper Sam Hornby is still quite young and can develop his game, whereas ROD is at an age where he is set in his ways and unlikely to rid himself of any bad habits he has developed.
    It sounds like Adams rates Hornby so may make him the first choice keeper to start the season and maybe ROD sees this and may look for a move away from Valley Parade.

    Good leadership qualities and plays in a good position for captain in my opinion, plus he is a Bradford lad which will sit well with supporters.
