    Adams played him right back at Plymouth but he can operate left back and centre mid. A handy player to have.

    I heard that was down to money. He was on an Edin deal. Regardless it was time for club and player to part ways I suppose.

    Well it's certainly where he played most of last season for Salford, I think there were only one or two games at the start of the season that he played RB, all the rest were in midfield.

    Maybe it didnt even come to that because he was going to have to take a big wage cut. A few on here have claimed he was on £3k a week.

    Ask yourself, why was a regular and decent servant released? Wood, we know he wasnt interested in staying. The rest released were all fringe, too old/knackered.

    His career history certainly indicates Adam’s will be interested to bringing him in and if so, indeed where will Threlkeld play as well as our existing CMs? Of course there still lots of time for transfer activity so we can only base on who’s come in so far, which this seems another very decent signing. Keep them coming.....

    Money is probably dead right. I was speaking to a business contacts the other day, who's son in law is a pro footballer. Pre covid, a top end weekly wage in L1 was around 5k, with one or two exceptions. Now, the 'going rate' at that level is nearer £2k.

    Never really heard of this lad, but Adams knows him, so that'll do.
