I suppose that’s what Abbot was aiming for, more of the Wyke type transfer, relatively small fee but decent player. Unfortunately as we’ve seen, this is more miss than hit and can be seen as wasting money. No transfer is guaranteed but something between the Parky method of high wages, no fee and the young potential would be ideal.

 

There will need to be compromise if Grayson is to become permanent manager.
For instance the club is seeing to the pitch and I believe the training pitch as well..
They could allow the manager free reign in signings scrapping the transfer committee.
In return he will have to work with a smaller budget than he would like
