    Im thinking 50 years ago, what. Then looking back to 70-75 when hand pulled was the exception rather than the norm there was some cracking Tetley pints to be found

    Jacobs Well, Bedford up Wakey Rd, one by Crofts at Thornbury were like drinking milk. Bloody brilliant beer. The best of the best was Jacobs Well around 70 73 imho

    Fair points on both counts.

    And drinking heavily comes with the territory as a City fan. Its medicinal.
