    If you’re a director or a senior manager it’s common to have a non compete clause, you can’t work for certain companies, or in certain roles for them, can’t approach customers or poach staff for a certain period. Provided the clause isn’t too onerous, you could be stopped from going to the same role at a competitor, it’s harder in a completely unrelated field, or too long, six to twelve months is ok, it most certainly is enforceable. I’ve signed letters more than once to departed employees, letters I’ve agreed with the legal department, gently reminding them of their obligations.

    For the last seven days the rumours have been flying about Adams there has been no denial by ether Adams or Morecambe. If there had been no truth there would have been a firm rebuttal. It’s Adams

    Some saying they can’t see it happening. Yet Wellens did exactly the same 12mths ago. Probably the same folks that wanted Wellens and not Adams as they “can’t believe someone would leave a promoted club to join a club in the league they’ve just got promoted from”

    Nearly choked on my Muesli this morning. Big picture of Steve Evans on the T&A website. Darragh MacAnthony on his latest podcast says we should go for him, he said he would bet his left testicle that Evans would get us promoted at first attempt and probably back to back promotions!

    I'm beginning to think we might be wrong about the Adams link. The fact that Sparks 'likes' everything Morecambe at the moment might be nothing more than a smokescreen. I wonder if its Parky readying himself for a return? Can't see how Adams can have had any input in our retained list whilst in another role, without dropping us in serious trouble. The more I think about this the more I don't think its him!
