New Manager - Welcome Derek Adams

Just seen the video on YouTube of Redmond interviewing Ryan Sparks, both sat on the Kop. When putting supporters questions to Sparks he asked him if the new manager had an input into the list of players released, his answer was yes.

Sparks maybe a bit full of himself but i dont think hes a flat out liar

 

If it's somebody who's currently under contract in a job as a manager and they've effectively been working for City through consulting on the released list. I don't understand how that can happen?

 

I find it incredible in this day an age that our new manager's identity still remains a closely guarded secret even the bookies are tight lipped.

 

Which is why I still think it’s Adams who at the moment is concentrating 100% on the Tranmere tie

How many City games has he watched, to be in a position to influence retained list? How long has he been lined up? You can't make such a decision after viewing a handful of games.

 

Most posters here have that gift, I'd hope the new man might too

 

Surely, there wouldn't be all this cloak and dagger, if it was an existing employee?

 

Rod Taylor, Morecambe co-chairman was asked about the speculation on local radio this evening, and he said it was just paper talk, nothing more.

Take from that what you think, but coupled with Sparks interview we have heard this evening, I'm more and more inclined to think it is not Adams. That said, could be Morecambe chairman trying to defuse the speculation so the players and fans can concentrate on the play offs.

Most posters on here can, as they've watched City all season. If it's Adams, who's been concentrating on getting his team into play offs, it's a tall order, as Sparks said the decision to demote was only made shortly before.

But why would we not announce it if it was Parky (which I cant personally see) unless he's sill got his agreement to run out after his sacking at Sunderland.

 

If it's Parkinson, what's stopping it being announced? What else could the Morecambe Chairman say?
