Law gets some unfair stick imo. I went to most away games last year and 90% of the time the home fans thought law was the best player on the pitch!

Instead of who though? What other ‘mercurial’ playmaker do we have in the squad? I hear this argument that Law only goes from side to side, but that’s rubbish. I’ve seen him drive forward with the ball with regularity. Admittedly, he then tends to pass to the winger or never shoots or slides a pass through a defence for the strikers.

But do we have anyone like that anyway?

I'm not sure how to answer that, game by game, BB
As McCall often said .......... "Horses for courses". Yes , City need Horses, not Mules, or labouring Oxen.
I have no dislike for any City player, but there are some games I Ihave a vision of whom should be selected. Our results since early January, backup my thoughts, as they were often wrong, IMO. That said - Graysons options were, and are limited. So back to last Summers recruitment ..... Very weak, in terms of depth. :)

Since you completely side-stepped the point of my post, I’ll ask you again.

Who do we currently have in the squad that can deliver what Law doesn’t?

Besides, according to Statbunker, Law has 4 assists this season, which is 3 more than Gilliead

    Wait, Law has four assists?

That can't be right, I keep getting told he passes sideways, exclusively on the halfway line, while slowing down play??!

Honestly, God help City fans if N'Golo Kante played for the club. 3 goals and 6 assists in 103 games for Chelsea. Only 4 tackles per game, and only 2/3 of them win the ball. He's only even tried 22 through balls in that time (1 per 5 games).

    Fact check: https://www.premierleague.com/players/13492/N'Golo-Kant%C3%A9/stats

    - Crossed for Vincelot at Oxford
    - Pass through to Wyke at MKD
    - Pass to Taylor against Oldham
    - Crossed for Poleon and won the penalty for Wyke to score, both at Southend.

So actually FIVE assists, yet some still don’t see what they don’t want to see....!

Law's a decent player but unfortunately McCall played him out of position and now with Guy and Dieng being the better options he's not required.

Is he as good as player's like Devine, Vincelot, Patrick - yes he is when played in the centre which is his best position.

Grayson obviously doesn’t rate him as highly as McCall, even though we don’t have anyone to replace him. I liked the Law of last year, but this season we haven’t had anywhere near as much possession as last. He needs an equally as comfortable ball player alongside side him (Cullen), to be effective. He doesn’t give the ball away as much as Vince or Dieng that’s for sure.

Depends how we are going to set up tomorrow. If we stick to 442 then I think either Patrick or McCartan will start, if we revert to 451 I think he'll play.

City fans are terrific at backing the wrong horse.

Law is a very capable and talented player, and will get a decent club regardless of SM's next move in management.

to laud the likes of Reeves and Bruncker and want to bin off Law is just stupid.
