Danny Rowe - The New Charlie Wyke - now with poll

What an absolute sh*tshow from us, again.

 

Can we please stop building up Guthrie. We play against him on Saturday, and you just know what’s going to happen!

 

Just playing devils advocate, but If you could only keep one of Novak or Rowe next season who would honestly pick Rowe?

 

why only one? Are we only keeping 11 players and hoping there are no injuries?

 

The lad is a bit of an enigma. Looks the part with the ball at his feet, quick feet, good touch and rarely misses the target. Having said that he's no target man which he himself admits, no pace and poor workrate. All are reasons why he hasn't cut it at league level, which is strange because there are loads of players making a good living out of the game with far less talent. All goes to show talent isn't always enough.
With the trade he has got behind him he plays non league football for fun and maybe enjoys it more with less pressure.

On talent Rowe but with my thinking head on a FIT Novak.

 

Rowe obviously won’t be here neither will Novak

 

They say that every year about Hanson. I'm definitely on the side of wanting them to play him.

 

Think McAleney will leave Oldham but will move up, not across.

 

I'm confident that wont happen.

 

Cook is a failed League One striker who is hit and miss at best, and it's clear to see why.

His best form has been at non league level, with some success in League Two.

At his age, it's midtable L2 fare.

They might have let him go because he was on a big wage, but that doesn't explain why most of his appearances for them were as a sub - which is a large reason to consider his tenure there a big failure.

Couldn't get in the team.

 

After all the shit that has been thrown at Rowe on here tonight,he must feel like a man on death row who has been given a repreive.All based on suppossion and hearsay,orchestrated by unofficial club spokesman Park,the lad has been hung out to dry without being given the chance to put his side of the story.What have we become as a club with this sort of behaviour by some of our fans.

 

Might not be bothered he’s gone but he was somewhat our Marquee signing only 3 months ago and now he’s out of the door?
Baffling in my opinion. What a waste of money. Not a great strike rate so far is it?

Also we seem to like giving people contracts and then backing out the best way we can down the line. McCall, Rowe etc.
Hardly inspiring. Scratching my head on this one. We don’t do things by half at this club.
Is Sparks too young for this role and just making decisions off of the cuff all the time?

 

Most of the criticism has quite rightly been directed at the club rather than at Rowe.

 

I suspect Rowe was fed up just being a bit part player and got his agent to see what’s out there for him. Turns out he’s got a 3 year deal at Chesterfield so you can see why he was keen to go. Not bad security for a 32 year old.

thays what was said about Rowe only 3 months ago. So what’s changed? Probably another city special and we saw someone make a bid and panicked at the first sign of it. Or can our manager not get a tune out of his players and now we need more?

IF as someone said we’ve signed Cook up AND are targeting some interesting signings in the summer-benefit of doubt given.
Or being City we’ll have no strikers on the books come summer and re-sign Barry Conlon

To be fair, they're laughing at us on the League Two Facebook page for being naive enough to think we had a player.

Maybe he's just a bit crap.

 

Bobby didn't have belly on him, watch the old match footage of him on YouTube (especially against Hull City in the snow) and you will see. Bobby's lack of pace was down leg fractures early in his career.
