Back in December before Stuart was sacked, we were 3 points behind Grimsby, 23 points behind Newport and were in danger of dropping down to the conference. We are now 24 points above Grimsby and 3 behind the last play off spot, which just happens to be Newport. There are 7 games left this season, what would you prefer - 7 games that are really entertaining to watch but in which we pick up few points and fall short of making the play offs, or 7 games that are as entertaining as watching paint dry but result in us finishing in the top 7? People say they are desperate to get out of this god awful league but if you are prioritising entertainment above doing that (in a league that is anything but entertaining), you can't be that bothered about it.

Not asking for all singing and dancing for 90 minutes, just a wander up over the halfway line now and then...

I can piss on your fire and tell you we won't win 7 games playing like that. But then this division is appalling standard wise so it might well happen.

I get what you are saying and hopefully that is how it would be, but I also think that if City were winning every match played at VP by 1-0 and were top of the table the attendance figures would rocket skywards. Similarly if they were losing every game 3-4 with an open match attendances would dip considerably. It's the way of the world nowadays, winners take all no matter what.

I can't imagine the scenario I quoted I'm not back tracking, we have players coming back who could make a big difference to that starting 11 so let's agree sh!t performances and 3 points until the likes of Cooke, Sutton, Novak can return and carry on as they did before their injuries.

We were winning games 1-0/2-0 under Bowyer last year and in the top 7 throughout yet the attendances dropped and the atmosphere was like a morgue.

Generally winners win by playing the better game. There is the odd exception but usually the best teams play the more entertaining football. When we went up in the years 85, and 99 and nearly went up in 88 the football we played was the best I've ever seen.

We were starting to wobble performance wise just prior to Cooke getting injured and I don't expect Novak to feature again this season, don't know why but that's how it looks to me...

How often does a city team play well against 10 men Bronco? It is difficult to recall when we played well or dominated a team down to 10 men. We never seem to have the players or manager to take advantage with the extra player. Yesterday's second half was poor and fortunately qe did not concede and took the 3 points.

Funny how the nay-sayers want entertaining now. In times past when City have lost but have played well, anyone posting satisfaction with the performance are roundly put down. Winning is what it's all about - right?

Teams that tend to come late into the play offs and win them more than likely have been playing well.

Come on @bantam2708@bantam2708 I always took you for a glass half full fan ;).
Were in a position if someone had quoted when Stuart was sacked everyone and I mean everyone would have called them an idiot, we now have 7 games left to achieve something we couldnt have dreamt about, that's got to be a magnificent effort by all concerned, yes l'll repeat 21 points from 7 dire games will suit me fine and I'm sure most would agree ?.

Any wonder we play walking football with a midfield and forward all in their 30s, We need more pace and effort to win midfield, We cannot keep on surrendering midfield and relying on the defense,

I suggest it's because they are getting results, yes winning and performing is great but I remember the quote of "good teams win ugly" and yesterday was a perfect example we even agree it was dire.
