In fariness, I think any of the 3 shouts could have been given (the Donaldson one was a stonewaller for me...)

Not that I'm complaining... 1) we've had plenty go the other way over the years 2) Screw Forest Green when it comes to poor decisions given their very, very poor sportsmanship in previous encounters - They got what they deserved... the square root of nowt!

 

What disappointed you most about todays game?

 

Just been on the FGR forum, they're 2 points off the autos and are complaining like mad

Not for me-the Donaldson one was a pen but the others were not. One of them the player swung at the ball and fell over.

Do agree about shoving their "brand" of football right up their arris. Their no5 spent all game harassing the ref for every challenge. Was that the one who Watt had a friendly word to?

 

Missed today’s game but looking at the run in, surely we have as good a set as fixtures as anyone around us?
By my count only 2 teams above us to go..

 

We only get the live view and a quick replay so I could be completely wrong but there looked like possible nicks for both, certainly seen them given. I don't think there was anything in them but the other way round I'd have started a thread bemoaning the standard of refereeing at this level and implying it's a conspiracy against our team in particular. Swings and roundabouts innit?

 

Only seen the playbacks once but my initial reaction to all three was that they were very fair shouts.

 

No it was their 6 who had misplaced the original header.No sympathy when teams like them get spanked.Makes it all the more sweeter.

Elated we won 4-1. But re your ref comments. Again, there's such poor refereeing consistency in League 2. I don't know what the assessor's report will say for the guy today, but I felt he was all over the place - and often, not at the right time. We've seen this again and again over the season - some, credit due, good and consistent referees. Others who seem out of their depth, don't really understand the nature of certain challenges because they've not been footballers at any level themselves or get frit by certain players and management staff making sure they get into their ear from minute one. There needs to be more ref training and more consistency.

 

Well I thought we might come unstuck today but that's a great result against a team that will expect to be up there. As others have said we look so much better when we press and get on the front foot. They were clearly confident at the start of the match and we wore them down by pressing and not sitting off. Very good performances from Cook and Donaldson both look to be playing with confidence. Delighted for Watt to get a goal he needed that game off hopefully he's really git the bit between his teeth now. Good to see Rowe get a goal too but I fear he may get frustrated being on the bench.

 

For me I thought we should have put the game to bed in the first half.

Midfield lacked quality.
