Are you talking Billy Clarke here ?, we were 3 - 0 down when Clarke was brought on, the damage had been done along time before.

 

Poor, poor performance. But they've been getting progressively poor since the Cheltenham game.
Even though the commentators were almost as bad as our two clowns, they made an interesting point before kick off about our sluggish warm up suggesting we were fatigued.
Whether you agree or not this is becoming a more persistent observation.
Silver lining - we have a free mid-week. Time to rest and a chance to work with the players.
Probably the biggest week coming up for T&S since they took charge.

Agree but too many times it is frustrating that we can't play the ball through the lines from the back either.

 

A week where if its not a bad back injury we need to do all we can to get Cooke back, very little fight in that performance today.

Well that was a poor show all over the pitch. We couldn't even make simple 5 yard passes I can't think of a spell in the game where we actually had a sustained spell of possession but that's been a theme of the last few matches to be honest. I wouldn't have ripped either Levi or Cook for the mistakes last Tuesday but today they deserve the critics I'm afraid budy language from the team was appalling.

 

I'm a doom monger but a bloody novice compared to our Fordy...

Their goalie got MOTM if I heard correctly.

 

Really, really, really, really, really bad. No midfield to speak of. Can't recall a string of four passes. System has been well and truly sussed now. Get in our faces and we don't have the guile in the middle to cope with it.

The only thing worse was the referee. One of the worst performances ever. I thought he was trying to decide free kick on edge of box, or penalty, and then gave them a drop ball. Had my COVID jab this morning - thought I was hallucinating

 

As i said in an earlier post, Midfield needs a big rebuild in the summer.
Watt- Cooke and Sutton are fine, just nothing to replace them with. New left back . Cook for Novak , who is a good forward but no good on the treament table for half the season.

Yep. I'd say so. It was a pipe dream anyway really, of sorts.

Given where we were in Dec it was always going to be about survival. We're still building, but our performances haven't been promotion type really, even when we were winning. You don't watch us and think 'yeah, quality side they're bossing it'.

That's the main thing I take from the game too. I used the word mindset.

Total guesswork but have the players got it to their head the primary job of T&S is all but complete? As fans, we may have elevated ideas of promotion but maybe the thinking/attitude in the dressing room dose not entertain such grandeur?

It seems a long shot but that body language /mindset was the greatest concern for me today.
