This is exactly the type of game for us to lose.

Away again in the first round of the league cup, I had worked out on C&B in the past how often this has happened but must be about 10/11 times in the last 13/14 years or so.

 

Yes it’s a no win match for the new Coach win and it’s expected lose well the negatrons wil have a field day.

 

Hasn't John Askey left to join Shrewsbury, I think that will have an effect on the club and players, but been around too long to say this is a gimme game.

 

Getting the excuses out already mate, come on we should be capable of beating this club without excuses.

Yes I know we have been beaten in the past by lower league clubs it is about motivation of the players you were so critical of under McCall, lets hope the coach has better luck in Cup games but we should be thinking as a squad we are good enough to beat Macclesfield Town.

 

I am saying no different we should beat them but you have only to look at Yeovil to see what can happen.

For sure the 'negatrons' will have their day - they still find a way when we Win !
But - IF we fail - it's out of the way, and City move on.
An indicator would be the crowd attendance. The Competition just doesn't have the attraction it used to, early doors.

Yes that's the reason I said it's up to the new coach to motivate, you used a great example as I believe that was the game you used to identify Stuarts lack of man management skills.
As I say we can go back years Telford, Accrington home and away too many to mention, hopefully this new guy will make the team mentally strong as well as strong in the tackle.

 

But 'local' enough for US to generate about 500, minimum ? Early season, some decent pubs, and a short drive home.
