Decent enough game. Impressed with Morecambe, when they push up on us and we look a little vulnerable, especially down the sides.

Vernam like his touch and drive. Need to get Cook into the game, looks isolated.

 

Don't see much difference between the teams. Both capable of creating chances. If this lot are top 6 then we could just as easily be.

Be good to get a win tonight and pick up the confidence again

Agree with your point @bantam2708 - we can win this if we keep focused.

 

Need to be sharper in our box and likewise in theirs.We look good in possession up to the final third.Obviously need to grow into the game after playing very little lately but with more minutes and with danger men on our bench we should have enough..

 

Need Rowe on in the 2nd half.

 

How is Cook playing? Listening to Radio Leeds answer to Gary Neville we have no idea.

 

On this surface we need to get Vernam running at them in the 2nd half.

 

The one area i think Morecambe are stronger are with their 2 deep midfielders, Songoo and Diaragou(?). A real physical, mobile presence. When they sit deep they're a wall for their back 4 and when they press, they push our lads back into and around our box. We don't have that physicality in midfield. The midfielder I've seen do it best in this league is Bahamboula at Oldham. I'd love him to be on our summer shopping list, he's exactly the sort of player we're crying out for.

 

Vernam had 2 shots plus the goal, Vernam should have scored one really. But compared with the last 3 games it’s much better although it was a low starting point.

 

Handful, battled away, couple of nice touches but not hugely involved in the way the games panned out.

 

On this surface we need to get Vernam running at them in the 2nd half.

Cook looks a bit isolated and frustrated.

 

Canavan is a calming influence at the back, picking passes into midfield rather than the hoof.

Agree Cook is battling but making very little for others to feed off, 60 minutes Rowe and Crankshaw for me.

Started the second half well. Don't need any silly passes giving them chances though.
