Match Thread Away V Scunthorpe - Tuesday 23 March@ 7pm

I think for the last 3/4 games the pitches haven’t been favourable to our intricate passing game which has meant we’ve coughed up possession more times than not. We might have to adapt but not punting long balls up top all the time. Saying that, Scunthorpe seemed able to handle the conditions better than we did. Maybe because we were playing into the wind.

We had 55% possession according to BBC stats. The pitch at Exeter certainly worked against us

 

21 games to complete in 12 weeks starting Saturday. That's a lot of games.

Any reason why the lower leagues couldn't extend the season? Seems plausible to me.

The pitch looked fine at 5pm. It's not their fault it bucked down with snow.
