Unbeaten run had to come to an end at some point
Losing away at Exeter isn't a disgrace especially considering injuries/new signings settling in etc
Now we will see how T@S pick up the team after their first defeat luckily if it's on not long to wait till Scunthorpe on Tuesday

Totally outplayed, can accept it against a superior team tbf they are where we’d like to be but simply aren’t. The performances the last two games ignoring scores have shown it’s a very limited team that will take time to make into even playoff contenders let alone higher, hopefully people stop being ott with talk of promotion now. Put that game behind us and on to the next on the quest for 50 points.

 

New players perhaps late-ish changes to line up and formation. We have been unfortunate to have all those players missing. All mitigating elements. Not the end of the world, but annoying being ahead twice and losing. Big game is the next one now.

 

Given how many have been saying we need to lose to see how T&S cope with it, I'm guessing there won't be too many moans and grumbles tonight.

We did, but even without him, and even with having less off the ball - which we'd probably expect, their 3 goals came from a poorly defended corner, amd young RB caught out with a ball over the top and a keeper making a hash of sweeping behind his defence. 3 poor goals and I dare say that with ROD amd Hossanah in instead, we'd probably have taken at least a point.

 

I said that in response to Idlebantam. Look, let's not kid ourselves, a massive rebuild is still needed both on and off the pitch.

An unbeaten run doesn't disguise the underlying issues. Its no major, we lost today... Was gonna happen at some point.

I'm just hopeful that the patience of fans will occur. Apathy will quickly occur if and I say if, we go on a bad run. But a rebuild is what we are in.

We could pick out individuals for blame, but eh, what's the point. Just let them get on with it.

 

You just knew it the usual suspect out in force as soon as we get a negative result. This was always going to be a tough game made a lot harder with some of our best players out injured.
We lost to a very unlucky penalty decision.
There were some positives Vernham looked good first half and I think Crankshaw also looks lively. Exeter deserved their win but it’s not the end of the world

I'm not sure negativity has reoccured. In isolation, an objective view of the game is fine. In the way you present your scribblings, are you trying to provoke?

Small margins. If that pass from Sutton had found Vernham they'd have been 3-1 down. He under hit it. They went up the other end and equalised. We always looked second best after that. We stopped passing it about and started hoofing. Our shape and control fell apart.
The run had to end some time. Not the end of the world, given the number of experienced players missing.

 

The odd individual might but its just as bad listening to folk trying to anticipate this. Comments about a poor performance today are more than justified, it's how we now seem them bounce back. Certainly have to ask why we went long ball for most of the game when they were poor at the back. If you're gonna play that front 4 then hoofing the ball long is plain stupid. See what the next game brings.
